One of the best vocal works. There is everything -- the gorgeous tone, the stunning flexibility, the dramatic instinct, and the stylistic authority. Beautifully recorded, too.
The R10 replica surprised me with much better clarity than I thought. I could easily appreciate that it's her great breath control that resulted in deep feeling, perfect control, and hushed intensity. The last track, 'Se ami senti spirarti sul volto', particularly and comprehensively demonstrated all of them.

[Blue Note: recorded September, 1961; released September, 1962.] Excellent compositions & playing by all. This album is the Blue Note debut of Herbie Hancock (pianist in Miles Davis’ second great quintet, prime Headhunter…)

Looks like we might be pullin' another all-nighter at the studio so I'm definitely taking advantage of a little break time I have while our vocalist is doing his thing. Basically, I'm sprawled out on this awesome leather couch with my Cayin N8ii and the Audeze MM-500s listening to Haken's release from just a few years back entitled vector. It's a solid hard rock meets metal meets prog mashup that works quite well and displays some pretty top shelf musicianship and "rockability" if I might invent a term, meaning it possesses that rock n roll X factor that will get you playing your air instrument of choice during some of it's cooler passages and riffs.
On another note, the MM-500s have turned out to be a fantastic blind purchase. When I said yes to the open box deal I was offered I basically had no idea what I was getting, but knew I could easily get my money back by reselling them if I didn't like them. Well, I won that coin flip and these won't be going anywhere for the foreseeable future. Having tried the LCD-2C, X, 4, and 5, I can confidently say that the MM-500s are my favorite Audezes. Their "reference-y" tuning, as I referred to it in an earlier post, fits my tastes quite well and the MM-500s have taken their place alongside the HD800S and K812 Pros as a new take on revealing neutrality in my open back lineup. And to think, I could just as easily have never even tried these headphones!
Good night and happy listening everyone!

You inspired me to do a run of MMEB starting with this album, now listening to Angel Station
This is on the Stax 404 from a Koss E/90 from the Adcom GDA600 from Topping D10
I have a CD box set called Mannthology that's a great MMEB collection. It was only realease like a year or two ago IIRC, so you might be able to find it on sale still if you're interested. Qobuz has the whole thing streamable, as well.
Gotta love a little MMEB!

Today’s choice: 64Audio N8 customs with Sony NW-A55
It's not every day I run into another N8 owner! I originally got mine for monitoring my drumming, but I have come to really enjoy the N8s for listening to music as well. Such an overlooked and underrated set if IEMs in the 64 Audio lineup.

MMXVIII by Millenium - Still enjoying my foray into Polish prog-rock. This is the first album with a new vocalist and he fits in very nicely, very smooth voice for the win. Excellent musicianship and a wonderful guitar tone through the Beyers makes my ears happy

Some morning music. Still evaluating my new Hifiman HE-1000V2...having a hard time not listening to them, so that shows how much I'm liking them.

I got them after comparing the Nio’s vs the U12t and loving the Nio way more. While the tuning is definitely darker for the N8’s vs Nio’s I find that they just sound great with everything I listen too. It's not every day I run into another N8 owner!
