For those of us with multiple headphones, which ones are you listening with now?

I'm really diggin' these Q701s with the bass mod! It gives them just a touch more depth in the low end, but keeps it fast and clean and doesn't change or impact the rest of the frequencies. Overall the bass mod has been a massive success and my Q701s will be staying that way.

Still listening to the AKG Q701s with the bass mod, but I now have them plugged into the JDS Labs El Amp 2+ and my SMSL M400 DAC streaming King's X new album Three Sides of One off of Qobuz. I just spotted this one in the new releases section of Qobuz and figured I'd see what King's X is sounding like these days.

Here's another one for you :sunglasses: ....

JRiver MC (PC) > SMSL SU9 > SMSL SH9 > Grado SR325x

Three Sides of One by King's X - good release day today, this is the second of my acquisitions and it's sounding rather fine through the Grados :L3000:

Just posted the same pick without checking the thread first! Only on the third track, but so far so good.

Drop by The Shahmen. 1987 neo-psch, Manchester/Happy Mondays/Syd style. Some good stuff, sadly they went house/techno later.

Sivga SV023 < SMSL M500.3

This is a beautiful jazz album by a young and talented vocalist. Well played and crafted numbers throughout. Cecile's voice is amazing, great range from a deep chest voice to a jazz soprano head voice especially well demonstrated on the title track. I stumbled across this work a while ago -- later I realized how lucky I was.

On the Sivga-Smsl duo, I liked how well the kickdrums were defined while having good weight ('You Bring Out the Savage in Me'), and the double bass had excellent articulation and could be easily distinguished from the kickdrums regardless of their overlapping frequencies ('John Henry').

Thanks! I will listen tomorrow. Really getting in to Jazz but it seems like I'm listening to recordings as old, or older than me! I'd like to find out where the genre is today...

These guys have incredible chemistry together. A little bit of everything in this one. Jazz, Funk, Prog Rock. :L3000: The bass guitarist is a Beast!

I wonder if after all this time anyone else still has a working HiFiMan RE-Zero. I dug mine out of storage the other day and have been enjoying them.

Nice! I didn't know we were doing IEMs and earbuds too. If you guys think I have been posting a lot now, wait until you realize how much listening I do with earbuds and IEMs in between my headphone sessions lol!

Don't worry guys, I'll keep it to over ears. I promise.

Didn’t realize this was a headphone only thread. Ooops.

I don't know that it is. It never occurred to me whether it was or wasn't because I had only seen folks posting full sized headphones. Plus, I think anyone would be willing to overlook it just once for your cool Hifiman throwback post anyways so no worries!

This post is in the full size headphone section though. Didn’t realize that.
