Well I'm really listening to this NOS Aussie surprise abnormality, was sent well protected and they really did mean "As is"! lmao...(cobwebs etc included hahaha)... I'm going to clean the tube up a bit but it works, already tried it... Happy Days!!!

Edit/update: I had to put on rubber gloves first before touching that lol but it cleaned up great... Polished and re silvered pins......Unusual tube, it's labelled a 5AS4 in a ST style glass tube... Mullard : Made in Australia (would be under license in AU, looking under base of baker lite it is licensed) I know Philips Hendon SA factory did some odd Mullards pre-1950 but that's about it. I know very little about tubes in honesty)... End of the day it's super cheap 'n sounds great

I like this second album by Damon's Black Monument Ensemble. Great immediacy of a live session plus layers of atmospherics and disembodied samples. While I could hear some misplaced mics, they're largely compensated probably with postproduction adjustment. I love that there's a lot going on in the mix and everything is glued together well.
