My son games with the HD598. I let him borrow the K7XX and he didn't want to let them go. I had to pry it from his head. He said it was like being in a cinema compared to a sound bar.

Just started listening to a pair of Apple AirPods Max. Color me impressed. These are lowly Bluetooth headphones. They should not sound this good.

Comparing the K7XX to the K340. Great song with lots going on. The K340 are definitely a tier or two above in timbre, resolution and imaging, but the K7XX has earned its spot in my rotation with its huge sound stage and fairly neutral frequency response. Grado SR325x will arrive next week!

I like that the K7XX ‘earned its spot’. These damn headphones cannot just waltz in and expect the sun, moon, and stars to align for them in groveling fashion……
