For those of us with multiple headphones, which ones are you listening with now?

Phantom SE / R4

Found this group on Bandcamp and their 2 albums have been on repeat lately. cosmic, psychadelic 70's rock with a wild variety of other influences, very nice to put on and chill... Especially nice on the Phantoms with its stellar imaging/soundstage.

Shanling EH3 - Hifiman Audivina

I must say the Audivina’s have really scaled with this amplifier. Not only better all around but noticeably, quite a jump over the K11 R2R. The IE900’s are absolute detail monsters on the amp too, couldn’t believe the difference.

Unfortunately the ET3 CD transport was pretty much dead in arrival. Would occasionally play a CD after many attempts, then it would only play for a minute or so tops. Have to look at other options. Like the CR60 but again, much of the same?

Morning coffee + Coffinshakers on Mojo+ED8EX.

I never thought that I would use "Ultrasone" and "lush mids" in one sentence, but well, here we are 😁

@Morph Ultrasone HPs had tremendous synergy with Mojo OG, IMHO better than HD660s and close level to AudioQuest NOs and NHs. How is synergy with Mojo 2? I moved away from Ultrasone since their V shaped tuning got me tired at some point but I know why people like those cans :)

I haven't tried them with Mojo2, I got the OG Mojo as a partial trade for my old Benchmark DAC1, which was stellar in a speaker system, but way too boring with headphones. I wasn't too keen on getting the OG Mojo as I really wanted 2 (mainly for the USB-C input), but first couple minutes with 8EX and my jaw hit the floor.

The synergy between the two is amazing. And really, if somebody told me this had to be my only setup for the rest of my life, I'm OK with that :D

Rocking to the morning work session today, Rory Gallagher with the Top Priority album.
Been surfing my FLAC collection over the past few days, and it has reminded me how much I miss actually listening to CD's. Need to get a compact solution that I can have at my desk and listening chair. My "HiFi" players are way too big to have close to me, and therefore I end up not using them as much as I want to.

Anyway, listening on the Violectric stack and the Fiio FT1, again.

Took my daughter to The Garden to see Billie Eilish last night. Absolutely amazing show. Ive seen dozens of shows there and I never felt the Garden shake like I did last night. I guess ~20K cackling tweens going absolutely berserk will do that :joy:. On the way home, the Uber driver was bumping this awesome playlist of jazz-infused hip-hop beats. If you like that sort of thing, highly recommend giving it a listen.

Been on this one. Thanks for the rec.

Still tooling around with the Hiby R4. Pretty amazing how versatile this DAP is for the price. A surprisingly lovely match for the Symphonium Meteor.

Sunshine (2024), JW Francis

I'd never heard this guy's catchy tunes before last week, but this album managed to break through the absolutely stacked slate of new releases over the past couple of weeks. Quickly rising to the top, and he's got an excellent back catalog I'm now slowly making my way through. I guess I'd categorize this as something like "Hipster Dad Rock." Alongside folks like Kurt Vile, Mac DeMarco, and The War on Drugs, JW Francis also worships at the altar of Tom Petty. Totally my speed.
