For those of us with multiple headphones, which ones are you listening with now?

AKG K340 > Emotiva A-100 > Modded Yaquin Sd-CD3 w/5692 tubes > Schiit Bifrost W/Unison USB

Deeper dive...

- Jason Upton - Psalm 23
Simply asked: does the Yaqin/Emotiva duet trounce everything that you have heard? It would seem to be the ultimate ‘hybrid’ headphone amplifier…(potential for improvement via interconnects?…)

ya, I love the way it sounds, it's an awesome sound, very expansive, with the AKG K340 it's an experience very few will probably hear from a 40 year + headphone.

The interconnects, I'm not sure how much improvement I would hear, it's pretty good as it is. maybe if my hearing were better, not that I'm deeef, but I just don't know if spending tons of cash for a few percent of improvement would be worth it.

Focal Elegias > Feliks Elise / The Beatles - Help! (Mono-vinyl). This copy is nearly 60 years old and sounds like it. funny thing is, I grew up listening to this copy, so my brain is totally used to the surface noise. It just seems sort of normal. Is that weird?

I got two that I want to sell and a few that are on the border.
I think six would be a perfect number (he said with no real conviction at all :relaxed:).
Ideally, I should get my number down to four, but more realistically, I'll keep five. I have three listening stations; my main room at which I rarely need or use closed-back cans, but would nice to have one available. My bedroom nightstand - currently using a pair of Vibro MKii's. And a recliner station in my living room, which is where my Elegias currently reside (again, close-back required as my wife watches TV in the same room).

Likely, when things shake out, I'll keep the Vibros, the Elegias, Aeolus, Clear MGs, and either the Auteurs or the LCD-3's.

Tidal --> Bifrost 2 --> Lokius (disabled) --> Harman/Kardon AVR20 --> Hifiman HE-Adapter --> Susvara. First time driving these off speaker taps. It's not exactly an audiophile box... I mean, it's a mid-'90's AV receiver... but it's a solid 60 WPC (into 8 ohms) receiver and I had it kind of sitting around since upgrading my TV setup to a Denon a little over a year ago. Makes me think I should move my Luxman over next to my desk and see how it fares.

Just running some DSOTM. Nothing fancy.
