(Pronounced 'Lĕh-'nérd 'Skin-'nérd) (1973) by Lynyrd Skynyrd - Sixteen year old me became an out and out southern rock fan the first time I heard I Ain't The One on the radio and the album followed very soon after. I can remember getting home from town, putting the record on my deck, lying on my bed and getting completely lost in the music - I was still listening to the album twelve hours later after forgetting to go out for the evening. It has to be one of the greatest debut albums of all time, there's not a weak song on there and it's pretty well crammed with classics. As for my favourite track, I can't decide between Simple Man and Freebird, two of the finest rock songs ever committed to vinyl.![Darth Smile  ](https://cdn.head-fi.org/e/headfi/darthsmile.gif)
