Hello. If its the wrong thread to ask, tell me, i'll delete the message. What is the good option to buy as my 1st (actually 2nd, but my Sony MDR-1A are with me for 10 years now, so i want something new) headphones? I am thinking about Thieaudio Ghost or Moondrop Para. But maybe they are actually bad and there are better options? Dont want to spend crazy amounts of money.

Auteurs still going tonight, I figure they need at least 50 hours play time to break in. Also need to try both amps, see if they like LP tubes or Topping power.

This is a rare album, actually a compilation of UB40’s first four albums. Released in 1983 it was a 2 record set which included 4 long play versions of classic songs like Madam Medusa that are jammed out big time. I was lucky enough to find it in a record store, my first UB40 album and I’ve been hooked ever since. Definitely my all time favorite Raggae album, listened to it countless times.
Using the Auteurs on the Topping A70. Big difference from the Liquid Platinum, bass is tuned down more.

The Auteur will be quite nice with LP. If you want to hear what Auteur can really do, try a headphone amplifier with a high output impedance: e.g. Beyerdynamic A20 (SS-100 ohms) or Woo Audio WA3 (VT-OTL-110 ohms). [Note: the output impedance for LP is a mere 0.14 ohms. With a 300-ohm Auteur, the damping factor is over 2140 (!!).]

Thanks Jonathan C. I have actually been looking at the Feliks Audio Echo. It’s100 ohms, tried it recently, a member had it at a local Schiit meet, and it sounded amazing, especially with high impedance phones like the HD600.
