*** Sonic quality? Music quality? Who would want: (a) Captain & Tenille in ‘RCA Victor Living Stereo’; (b) Ray Coniff & Singers in Sheffield Labs ‘direct-to-disc’?
Also, off topic, great albums that are terribly recorded...my submissions, Meat Loaf, bat out of hell AND dead ringers. Great albums that cannot even be remastered into a decent quality as apparently the master tapes themselves are shockingly bad.

The Lost Trident Sessions (1999) by Mahavishnu Orchestra - Actually recorded in 1973, it was supposed to be their 3rd studio album but due to emotions running high within the band, they put out a live album (Between Nothingness And Eternity) instead. It then got archived and subsequently forgotten and was found by accident in 1998 by a record producer collecting material for a Birds of Fire remaster. I'm just glad someone found it because it is really very, very good and is a recording of the band at in their prime. The RS-1x are my standard phones for anything Fusion and they are great at picking out all the tasty little details, specially in the percussion.
Pixel 7 with Tidal to Dawn Pro to Aria Snow.
The perfect decent kit for running around vacuum cleaning the house.
Need some music to energize me for the work:
On HF I don't think so but Stereophile and TAS published several lists over time I've seen Jazz ones and then there are the reputations of various lables. Go for it!
I stopped seeking out new music in my 30s & 40s (not uncommon) and only really got back into when I turned 50. All that to explain that I totally missed this album. No idea it existed until I recently discovered The Roots. I was a big Elvis Costello fan in his Blood & Chocolate days.
