Sylvania never made the 6AS7G so it was likely manufactured by another maker. And RCA and Chatham/Tung-Sol were the only American companies that made the 6AS7G.

Most of the 6AS7G tubes were made by RCA and then Tung-Sol/Chatham. The RCAs come under several big brand names and a number of rebranded ones, but they were all made by RCA, including Sylvania and GE.
The 6080 is supposedly the same tube in a smaller tubular envelope, and among those you can find several good sounding ones. It seems to me that the 6AS7GA is the same as 6080.

Quite a good sounding tube - I have several different brands, but they all sound the same to me.

I can confess to using a couple GE JAN 6080s, 5-Star 5670s and 5965s without total perceptual impairment.

However, there seems a worrying sign of the end of NOS times....

Unpaid @bcowen GE endorsement....at least I think it was unpaid...

Gold Aero sold the 5998A as well. I assume it was a rebrander, but who made this tube for them?

What is written on the base? But it is a graphite plate ceramic mica tube and my impression is that they were mostly made by Bendix and also Tung Sol (and later Cetron after Tung Sol closed), regardless of what it says on it.
I should also add that these were special high quality tubes made for the military for use in missiles and the like.
