Sylvania never made the 6AS7G so it was likely manufactured by another maker. And RCA and Chatham/Tung-Sol were the only American companies that made the 6AS7G.
Most of the 6AS7G tubes were made by RCA and then Tung-Sol/Chatham. The RCAs come under several big brand names and a number of rebranded ones, but they were all made by RCA, including Sylvania and GE.Hi all, I just missed bidding Tung Sol 6AS7G
Any suggestions on better or equivalent sound from other brands?
What do you think of Sylvania 6AS7G? Looks like it's similar with RCA?
People likely going to crucify me for this, but I am a fan of the GE 6AS7 GA with dual DD getters up top, triple mica and copper rods.Hi all, I just missed bidding Tung Sol 6AS7G

Quite a good sounding tube - I have several different brands, but they all sound the same to me.People likely going to crucify me for this, but I am a fan of the GE 6AS7 GA with dual DD getters up top, triple mica and copper rods.
Sir that is clearly salmon. There is also a funky pink base 5998 version for the hunters
There is also a very nice 7581 version by GE with similar shape and colored base. Some may be branded Harmon. There is also a funky pink base 5998 version for the hunters
Gold Aero sold the 5998A as well. I assume it was a rebrander, but who made this tube for them? There is also a very nice 7581 version by GE with similar shape and colored base. Some may be branded Harmon.
What is written on the base? But it is a graphite plate ceramic mica tube and my impression is that they were mostly made by Bendix and also Tung Sol (and later Cetron after Tung Sol closed), regardless of what it says on it.Does anybody know which brand this 6080WB tube? Thanks
