Focal For Bentley Radiance Headphones

Got my new Radiance, I am noticing a slight right shift of the centre image, I rechecked with my edition xs and it was properly centered, anyone else experienced this issue.
Check the pads first, I had an issue with mine where one pad was noticably thinner than the other leading to one ear being closer to the driver

I didn't fix it, I emailed my dealer who then sent replacements.
Thx. My situation is different since I bought 2 replacement pads. They were different but you don't buy them as a pair. Long story short: I have 2 working pads with different fillings at "only" €180 for the 2 pads... Last things I bought from Focal.

Yea, this has shaken my trust in focal somewhat, and you can say I'm somewhat of a focal fanboy with owning the radiance, clear, utopia and arche. I mean come on, with pads that run well north of 100usd these kinds of issues should not be happening at such an high occurrence

Pad hight has been my biggest issue with both my Focal headphones, I must have large jutting ears as my lobes mak contact with the inside of the pad and after about a hour of listening one of my ears makes contact with the grill I might try some custom made pads and add 1/8 to the height.

Hi everyone, my focal radiance just arrived today, and I have one question, I have heard that this is pretty easy to drive but however thats not the case with my pair. Its has gotten me 85% volume on high gain on my shanling m6 ultra. Harder to drive than my senheiser ie600 iem, 64 audio u12t and lastly my sennheiser hd800s. On my hd800s i am on 40% medium gain but this radiance gets to high gain 60-85% volume to be enjoyable. Any ideas would be very helpful

I would also like to add that I have been running it with stock cable, and on my other comparisons, including the hd800s are run through 4.4mm balanced output, as a newbie im not too sure if that makes a difference.
4.4mm balanced port is more capable to deliver more power than the 3.5mm single ended port.

Your m6ultra 3.5 mm single port has practically the same output power of my qudelix 5k 2.5mm balanced port have, which right now, Im using to juice my Radiance, connected to my pc and works nice without puting the volume that high.

I recently make a review about them telling the same.

From my k9pro, via 4.4 balanced requires more volume to get the same db than the sony z1r.

They are not "easy" to drive

Get a 4.4 cable for the radiance, problem solved 👍
