Anyone use flc 8s with lg v20 on high imepedance mode? Will it damage flc 8s? Thanks
High impedance mode will probably damage your hearing before it damages the FLC8S.

I will not be pumping the volume to the max but i heard people mention high impedance sounds better. Is it tru and also I am afraid of damaging my flc 8s(warranty over).
The LG V20 High Impedance mode automatically kicks in when it senses a headphone with 50 ohms or more impedance. The FL8S impedance is 11 ohms.

- I have the LG G6, which has I believe a very similar set-up to the V20, if not the same. I don't personally buy in to the idea that the high impedance sounds better - louder is probably more accurate, and the way our hearing works that always sounds better. Yes, I know the idea is 'turning on more dacs', I don't think that's making a meaningful difference if any. But it sure is louder.
- If you do try it, and decide you think it sounds better - and to be clear that is up to you and not me or anyone else - it's not changing how the FLC8 works. It draws the power it needs.

Only if you have insufficient headroom with low-impedance/low-sensitivity headphones like planar magnetics. It's totally unnecessary for the FLC8S - all you'd be doing here is reducing your fine-grained volume control.

Seems like spinfit has launched cp155, a wide bore 5.5mm model. It says suitable for audeze and other 6~7mm models.

Flc8s has exactly 5.5mm so i am little curious although my comply tx400 with 5.5 diameter fits them perfectly.
