That's real deal! I only bought Tips from them. But have a friend that bought Oriolus from them.

They do have periodic sales, including Black Friday. However, I've rarely seen the FLC8s discounted beyond 3 to 5% which is paltry. That $270 price is excellent. Alternative is eBay which is where I got mine for around $400 CDN.

I have been thinking about buying these, but one thing that worries me is build quality. How many years of use do you guys expect to get out these before the plastic housings break? My VSONIC GR07's are falling apart after 2 years of use, the housings cracked from the rotating nozzle and the strain reliefs are falling off.

Mine going great with periodic usage for about a year. I always keep them in a case when not using them, so...if the cable breaks, buy myself a new one. If somehow, the housing breaks I can probably contact somebody for a repair even if it will cost some.

I don't think they'll EVER break unless you abuse them. They're very well made and the plastic is durable. Biggest thing is take care when changing filters or cables. I put my Phonaks, several years old, through the washer and dryer and they still work just fine. Plastic doesn't have to mean cheap. Ever try to break polycarbonate? No worries with the FLC.

FLC8S shells are durable, but do be careful when changing tuning plugs!

Go into the review section of the FLC8s (http://www.head-fi.org/products/flc-technology-flc-8s/reviews). Brooko has compared it to the DUNU, twister6 has compared it to the DUNU, and finally yours truly HiFiChris has also compared it to the DUNU.

And I've listened to both and happily gave the DN2KJ back to the headfi fridge I borrowed them from and went back to listening to FLC8S
