Flash Player Recommendation

I think you can expand your list to other players from different brands. If you live in Toronto, go to Pacific Mall, up on Kennedy and Steeles, and there are a huge variety of mp3 players you can choose which all fall under your budget.

Personally, I would go with the Sony (E105 in you options). It uses AAA, so you can easily replace the battery on the go. It can play MP3s natively without having to convert to Atrac, but you have to transfer the MP3s via software (sonicstage/MP3 file manager), cannot just do drag-n-drop in windows explorer. Still, 1 feature that it has, that pretty much put it above other flash players IMO is gapless, albeit with Atrac only. So far, I don't see flash players that can do gapless.

Again don't forget the ipod nano! The 4GB is a good value for a fllash player in per-gigabyte terms. It's a tough player - see ars technica - but then it scratches easily. Any of your other players, of course, will also make sense.

Also, at those prices, I would recommend either MX-earbud. It's safer.

I thought I'd miss the screen on the shuffle, but I guess the way I listen works for the shuffle. I'd rather play randomly, and skip if something comes up I'm not into. I sold my 60gb ipod after using the shuffle a bit. I do my non-random listening at my computer tho.
