Oh 3-driver IEM! Ohhh 1240$... How the heck does these Japanese people manage to make everything so much more expensive?

$1240 is just the preorder price! It's actually more like $1310 (105,000 yen) !

However, do check out Sasaki-san's blog post; he thinks that it rivals a full-on JH13 with a cable upgrade, no less (if you believe in cables). I'd say that the price isn't too over-inflated if you keep those capabilities in mind. Plus, it has good resale value because of the universal shell.

It really is a universal fit monitor; it just looks like a custom and is fully based on the drivers from FitEar's flagship, except with that titanium sound bore, and slight re-tuning.

Who knows? Honestly, it doesn't matter, once you hit the $600+ mark or so in the IEM world, technical performance pretty much goes out the window, and it's a matter of personal preference, whether it be universal or custom, dynamic or balanced armature.

True that!

Second most expensive I think? Followed by the FI-BA-SS. :)

In the realm of universals, the Piano Forte X is still the most expensive by far. Then, it would probably be the AKG K3003, depending on where/how you buy it. The TO GO! MH334 is right up there with the K3003 in terms of price. The FI-BA-SS comes after both in terms of price.

So , it's
1. Piano Forte X-CC
2. AKG K3003/FitEar To GO!
3. FI-BA-SS

?

What's the X-CC anyway? Though as far as I know, the most expensive universal is the FAD DC-1601.
