Not sure about for classical.  But if you like your sound warm and bassy, eterna is nice.

I'd say it's ok, the Eterna sound great with everything but I can't wrap my mind around why they sound weird for rock. Yet.

Most likely the revision A.  I've read concerns about the speed and lack of details so I was curious.  I think I'm fond of dark sound signatures.

I felt the same way. I think it's because the bass overpowered the rest of the spectrum and the mids were veiled. Course this was on revision 2.

I would not buy the eterna's for classical music although they would work fine for rock. I recently purchased the revision 1 off gd audiobase and the sound is similar to what reviews are describing, very fun and dynamic.
