First Harmonic IEB6, new micro driver kid on the block! Is it better than the Tenore? [Impressions/Discussion]

Thanks for starting this thread Lifted!

Two questions:

1) Would I like the sound of these as much as the Titan1's? (I know that nobody really can answer that one for me lol)

2) How well do these isolate?

I use the Titan1's at the gym, but they don't isolate well enough for that noisy environment, and I'm wondering if the IEB6's would do the trick.

Thanks!

Just get the JVC FXH30. They sound very similar to the Titans and isolate much better.

Maybe try FXH20 then.  Very few have tried that.

JVC fx30 is next on my list to try. I'd exchange ieb6 for them if anyone cares to swap for a week or 2.

PS...Wayne, I workout a lot also. Not sure how you feel about Bluetooth, I've tried most of them. The Jlab epic are my favorite, and the blu100s are very close 2nd. Most others have not been up to par

If only you had asked last week mate I would have probably done the swap.

I think I'm giving up on JVC IEMs for now. They have failed to impress me every time.

Burn in really does seem to help the ieb6. Can't find any info online and threw away the box, but what are the specs on them? I usually have my E07K at 0db Gain and 35-38 on the volume, decided to bump the Gain to 6db and dropped vol to 28 and it sounds perfect now, everything is loud and clear without hurting my ears. Things sound much cleaner. I believe I did the same with the Tenores but saw no benefit, will test again tonight.

What's the details on the arrival Andreas?

There's an interesting review on Amazon that was posted yesterday about the IEB6 from a metal listener. He talks about the Tenore as well. If that you?

Uhm I can't find any specs apart from the info that's on the website. Mine have gone through customs but that was this morning and there hasn't been an update since.

Nope wasn't my review. The upping of my gain/lowering volume really did make these more enjoyable though.

Just ordered the SoundMagic E80, will return either the ieb6 or the 80's after I hear what they sound like...or maybe it'll just be another for the collection lol

Well looks like I'm gonna have to pay customs fees and handling fees. I ******* hate this country!

Well that blows. Living in America does have its advantages lol.

I really do recommend playing a burn in type track with pink noise and what not for a good amount of time. First set of IEMs I actually notice considerable change with burn in.

Sucks bigtime considering the price of them, I hope I don't get charged an arm and a leg.

I was gonna burn them in for 30 hours or so after I get them out.

I noticed burn in with the carbon nanotubes and Tenore. Really need to pound the drivers with good volume beats to release the potential.

Gonna burn my Tenores in with the XLO and one of your mixes tonight.

E80s should be here tomorrow, looking forward to them
