Im sure the spitfire is better but it's also twice the price.

IMHO it's worth it.

I got my Spitfire today. Wow, it is nice. I couldn't resist taking a picture.

By the way, the Firestone North American distributor finally has their website up:

Shelly...

That is a great pic! Looks very clean (my desktop is littered with wires). How does it sound? I'm thinking of buying a similar set-up for my girl. I think she would enjoy the "cuteness" of the setup (and hopefully the sound).

Technically it's a topology paper but it uses a lot of groups and rings.

The headphone stand is just a good old fashioned Bed Bath and Beyond banana holder with the hook removed and some foam around the end (held on with a velcro strap)... very low budget but it works great (and I like the wood).

I'm hoping to pick up some samples to roll into my "upcoming" Fubar III. I've read a good deal about the 2107, which seems like exactly what I want (dark and airy). The only problem is TI shows about 8 models of 2107, in DIP and SOIC. Which do I want?

For a few months I was running a usb dac into my firestone little country, then into my cans and this worked fine.

Now I've upgraded to using Cambridge Azur 640C into the Corda Cross-1, then into the firestone little country and have blown two tubes in two days.

Any ideas as to what I might be doing wrong?

That has got to be some cable problem.

Or might it be the tube is not biased properly? That might have a detrimental effect on tube life if the bias is wildly off.

Does anyone know why the violet version of the Cute beyond says Violet on the front plate? Does the red, blue and grey versions have the colour stated as well?
