is the presence better on the xe6 than the z1R?Certainly not lower mids, I believe that is Xe6 greatest strength. Xe6 upper mids are more relaxed by comparison, so if you are looking for relatively more presence there then Kr5 could be the go.

I unfortunatelly have no fir dealer close by or even in country. At least i wasn't able to find one. Are there some tours or international testkits i can be part of for demoing? Mainly interested in xe6 and kr5. Thx for advices!

Listening to the NE4 on the NW-WMA1AM2 among other things… can’t speak to the XE6, but if the NE4 is a fair representation of one shade of the overall Fir house sound (and from what I’m reading it appears to be), then I’d say Fir pairs nicely with Sony sources.Anyone listen to the xe6 with the Sony nw-wm2a?
How is the match??

awesome set upLately, I became aware that I like the sound of my Xe6, better than that of the Focal Stellia. With Roon over my stationary setup as well as Roon ARC (lossless) via my Questyle M15 dongle.

Agreed.kr5 is a totally different tuned iem than xe6
My preference is for the Kr5, but for other people, it can be the complete contrary.
My bad, I haven't auditioned the ne4...
Silly situation, because I had them on the table, but I was absorbed by listening to the Xe6 and especially the Kr5.

I can buy either the kr5 or xe6. I listen to lots of electronic music, metal, classical, indie, rock etc. I currently own the u12t, ie900, kse1200, ier z1r, lcd i4. Which of the two would you all recommended?

Love it. It's a technical beast and extremely fast. Best Frontier series for blast beat's and extreme metal, imo.How do you guys like the Krypton 5 for death metal / another music genres with busy passages?

For me Xe6 is the best. I listen mostly to extreme music. How do you guys like the Krypton 5 for death metal / another music genres with busy passages?

What I especially like Xe6 smoothes harsh high tones which in extreme metal, grindcore etc. are sometimes too much pronounced.
You can listen to i.e. Nasum or Napalm Death, Meshuggah and your ears are not bleeding from those almost distorted or not so well recorded/mastered highs.

I’m really curious about the xe6 as well, but I’m afraid the bass would be too much for me, especially listening to other genres. For me Xe6 is the best. I listen mostly to extreme music.

I’m the kind of person that is much more into sub-bass than midbass, but sometimes I think that I just don’t like bloat.
Does the xe6 bass ever brother you?

This is exactly what I’m wondering too. I have read that the red module tames the bass a bitI’m really curious about the xe6 as well, but I’m afraid the bass would be too much for me, especially listening to other genres.
