Glad you checked it out and it’s being resolved! Kinda curious what you were actually hearing…

When you said “midbass was higher on the five…” it was clear something was way off.

It sounded pretty good regardless. Not at all warm, heck the KR5 sounded warmer to it. It was like listening to my HE1000SE. Great clarity, lovely midrange, and the bass was just enough there. Subbass was quite less.

I just noticed that you can select Rigid 2pin as a connector for the M4 universal off the FiR site.

Wonder if this is an oversight as the universal M4 shell doesn't seem to be able to fit it.

Have been revisiting a lot of Post Rock albums on the Kr5 since I got them, simply amazing! They have a really natural/real sound to them, reminds me of hearing many of the bands live.

I have heard the whole Frontier series today and interestingly enough, to me, the NE4 sounded clearer than the KR5. Though the latter had the obviously greater bass extension that the NE4 was missing a bit, vocals sounded a bit muffled (at least for my taste) with the KR5. Anyone else with similar experiences?

Sort of similar experience here, the Kr5 lacks upper mid resolution which hurts its midrange clarity and vocal presentation, that’s how I heard it.

Just noticed that you no longer have the Kr5
