Hey everybody, I own the Sennheiser HD 25 and V-Moda m 100 and I absolutely love them, but recently I've been looking into IEM's. I Primarily listen to electronic music such as Progressive House, Trance, and Deep House although i would by no means classify myself as a basshead, but i do appreciate very punchy bass. Being that I already own 2 headphones which are quite well known for they're bass i thought i would maybe switch it up a bit and pick up a more neutral sounding Westone 4. I've heard from a few other threads that these may not be able to bring the music i listen to to life. For example http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OBNMqIuARrI and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s0_6Sbn30uA

I've also looked into the Westone 3's but i feel as if i'd be getting the same sound signature as the cans i already own. Which is by no means a bad thing but like i said I'm looking to switch it up and get a more neutral headphone.

Basically i just really want the beauty in my music to be brought out well and I'm a bit torn between the two and I'd love to hear your thoughts on the matter.

Thanks in advance

You could compromise - get something more neutral/linear than the W3s but still retaining a bit of the impact, sparkle and fun - i.e. the UE900s. Very nice for this purpose.

The RE272 are very good sounding IEMs with wider soundstage, crisp clear mids, highs and good bass response, overall they are very balanced yet musical and detailed. The other IEMs like Sony EX1000, ER4P, UE900, Heir Audio 4Ai and CK10 are very balanced and highly detailed without being bassy. BTW if you are looking for budget IEMs with great balance and detailed soundsignature without being bassy then Etymotic HF5, Sony EX7750, CK10, B2, DBA-02 and R-50 are great buy.
