Final Audio D7000

It is exciting. Middle ground flagship side-grades that are somewhat obtainable. D-7000 reminds me how the Empyrean 2 and DCA E3 fit into there companies listed catalog of headphones for pricing/performance.
D-7000 ? I bet I’ll love it, but it means in no way that I will be giving up my original D-8000.

Look at this thing? No shot. 🤑

My biggest question though. Will the D-7000 serve up enough difference in its Sonic signature to complement the D-8000 making it worth owning? I doubt it.
Same, really like how the recent models are displacing the (pricing-wise) "flagship" siblings, Empyrean 2, E3, Diana MR, D7000.

I'd love to get a D8000 Pro in to listen as well.

As to the Final vs Yamaha, I'd have to agree with what has been mentioned. Entirely different.

Going back to one of my earlier comments about D8000 Pro treble and D7000. I replayed the same songs as I did when in e-Earphone, and I confirm I prefer the D7000 treble.
Yeah, the treble response on the D7000 truly is a thing of beauty.

Anyone compared the bass to D8000 OG and D8000 Pro yet?

D8000 has more bass (louder), warmer (goes more to the mid bass) compared to pro. I would even say it is more lush, with less details. Going from pro to OG almost felt like a bloated signature for me. Just like Empyrean and Elite.

Edit : I though it was the D8000 threat. But I wouldn't be surprise if the D7000 takes the D8000 bass, but keeps it from bleeding to the mid with D8000pro tremble with all the reviews so far. People at camjam will tell us how things are

With the original D-8000, the ideal synergy is source recordings that are a touch bass challenged. That is where the magic really comes in with original D-8000. That bloat becomes perfection to my ears. 😏
Hope the 7000 can mimic that.

I listened to the D7000 at e-earphones today for an hour along with the D8000 and the D8000 Pro. I have a D8000 at home, and after an hour of listening to all three models, the D7000 felt closer to the D8000 than the Pro in terms of bass response and overall sound impression. For some reason, I had to dial up the amp more for the D7000 vs. the other two versions to achieve same sound volume. The D7000 felt much lighter, but also felt a bit cheaper than its predecessors for some reason. Overall, it's a fantastic headphones for a broader genre of music than its predecessors.

I'd have to hear the D7000 to answer that. I might run into the D7K at CanJam in a few weeks. I'm not really in the market for a new headphone, but of course would be happy to hear it.
I don't know if John Massaria will be there with his headphones, but if he is, please listen to his 2.5 XTC; that's a closed version.

I'd like to hear your opinion if possible.

Enjoy CanJam NYC!

Cheers!

Since I already have and love my D8000 (og) I wonder if D7000 would be superfluous? Or if it does anything better than D8000? I especially love the bass on the D8000 much more compared to the pro. So if D7000 retains that bass with improvements in other areas I would be interested.

Yes, the D7000 has that punchy bass but slightly less than the D8000. Treble also slightly more than the D8000. I would view it as a side grade, not an upgrade. But I could see this pleasing a wider audience.

How cheaper exactly? By the picture, they look like the D8000pro LE structure with different drivers. LE is very well build all around. Did they change metal parts with plastic parts ?

Not sure about that. There is one pair in Classifieds already for $3.1k.
Yes. But I mean, he asked us like there was an established used market like the Susvara with well known prices. There is not yet
