Do one with the "Flagship" Beryllium driver and aptX. The FDW1 or Jade EAW1 or whatever. :)

Yea but i mean 3 hours playback? Can't imagine a quad ba AND A DD at 49 being amazing. But hey i am all ears.

Well, the retail price will be $69 so now is the time to go for them.
As for the playback time; I suppose it depends on how you use them. You would rarely use wireless IEMs for more than 3 hours straight and a 5-10min charge should get you ~33% battery. I'm going to use them when I'm out walking my dog and when I'm exercising neither of which requires 3 straight hours.

Airpods Pro has 4,5 hours playback, 3,5 hours talk time but a smaller 24 hour case battery. It is also $249. Probably sounds worse.

different use cases. i have 2 sets of tws sitting on my window sill for when i watch media. a few weeks back i binged watched a series and its not uncommon to watch 2 movies. Those two scenarios wouldnt work.

and yes youre right in cases like exercise youll be fine but there will always be a whatif.

I guess at 50 bucks having a dedicated set isnt so bad but the hassle will crop up.

No ambient sound or wireless charging?

Wow! 400RMB on Taobao - these will fly off the shelves. Even if they only offer 'ok' quality, that's a bargain. Hell, if they match the basic quality of the noise cancelling headphones, Fiio will be on to a winner (basic quality, with NC turned off)

FiiO's latest True Wireless Balanced Armature Earbuds- FW1 is now available!

What can a pair of Bluetooth earbuds bring to us? Maybe a piece of extreme peace, maybe a sweet song with an unforgettable memory, or maybe an entire world of the individual away from the noisy environment. The emergence of True Wireless earbuds, has greatly enhanced the convenience of music enjoying, allowing us to put on our beloved earbuds whenever and wherever and travel in the world of music with great joy.

After waiting for such a long time, FiiO's True Wireless Balanced Armature Earbuds, FW1 is finally coming at the appointed time. The Balanced Armature driver, customized by Knowles per FiiO's specifications is natural sounding with smooth coherency across all-frequencies while maintaining the bass's elasticity and dynamism, the lush midrange as well as detailed and elaborate highs. They are coupled with FiiO's unique frequency response and impedance matching to realize listening comfort.

Furthermore, the FW1 features Qualcomm's QCC3020 Bluetooth chip, which supports the aptX Bluetooth audio codec as well as TrueWireless Stereo + Dual-mode Bluetooth transmission. With stronger anti-interference ability and lower latency, the FW1 allows one to experience near high-definition music wirelessly through Bluetooth with more stable signal transmission.

Based on FiiO's accumulated experience in Acoustic Technology, the team utilizes Qualcomm CSR3020's internal DSP (Digital Signal Processor) to achieve a system-level reconstruction tuning, to integrate better both the Balanced Armature driver and the audio characteristics of Bluetooth, ensuring one would not find listening fatiguing. Further optimization with a focus on background noise lowers the noise floor. Convincing from the first moment of listening.

Key features of the FiiO FW1 include:

* Knowles Balanced Armature driver

* Qualcomm QCC3020

* Bluetooth 5.0, aptX codec support

* TrueWireless Stereo + Dual-mode Bluetooth

* 21-hour battery life

Can't find anything about this online. Is this even happening? The link you shared leads to a different product.

I have macular degeneration and my eyesight has been significantly degraded and listening is a large part of my awake hours. The improvement in blue tooth wireless iem's have made significant gains. I look forward for manufactures to fill out the options now available.

When will we be able to see reviews of the product?

Doesn't look all that exciting.

Have a look at the CCA CX10 - Quad BA & One 7mm DD.

AAC Lossless codec.
Bluetooth 5, 20m range
Low Latency gaming mode.
10 Full Charges in case
IEM batter 40mAh, 3 hour playpack.
Case has 400mAh battery with 30+ hour playback.

$49.

driver doesnt amount to anything related to tuning.

Sometime, multiple driver do more destructive stuff

And, I have been making iem for past 5years myself. Tuning in multiple driver is hassle on phase, time domain, weird electrical impedances etc..

Atleast, on single BA, fiio has total control over it..

What we want actually is through the app, shifting the eq response to multiple different target

Source stock sound
Harman response target
Diffuse field

Through convolution
I mean, having multiple iem on the go with signal correction on phone for this specific model or etc

Those are good points.

I personally gravitate towards the CCA though because:

1. Quite a lot cheaper.

2. I don't need noise cancelling for how I'm going to use it, also it compromises sound quality. If passive isolation is good enough, the omission of ANC won't be much of an issue.

3. I'm not a huge fan of single BA designs.
I have never experienced a single BA that can portray the entire human audio spectrum in a convincing and effortless way... It always ends up sounding strained and artificial, especially at the frequency extremes. It seems it's too much to ask from 1 BA.

4. Hybrid design. Strengths of two driver technologies.
