Hi Karl
Going by sending to places like the USA, Australia, Japan, and NZ, it wouldn't be worth it.

AM5 drives my HD6XX better than default AM3A balanced, it has more authority and control.Hey all, been a while since I posted here!! Been eyeing up the M11 Pro, the Bluetooth connectivity and codecs are appealing (BT on X7 II pretty poor) but I’m thinking do I really need it!! So maybe the AM5 amp will work for me and my HD800s. one question, What’s the connector type on the AM5, could not find this out anywhere, currently can use the 800s’s balanced on the am3a 2.5mm as well as with an amp. Surprised how good they sound straight out of the AM3A!!
X7II has fixed line out on top not depending on AMP module. If you want to use line out, it doesn't matter which AMP module you use.The AM5 only has a 3.5 headphone out. There is no line out. I have one for sale: https://www.head-fi.org/threads/for-sale-fiio-am5-amp-mint-£60.920754/
Have you sent your X7II for repair? I sent mine to China last month cause using RM1 as alternative didn't work.My volume wheel is basically useless now. Has anybody been through the experience of sending it back for repair for this issue? I’m wondering if it’s worth it.
I want to ask you, do you notice any lcd ripples when you press the screen? Especialy at black or dark backgrounds? Mine seems that the glass is. Ot hard enough and when i press the screen with a little more force it ripples... thanksHmmmm, My X7II got some extra love, the new AM3D, one of my just arrived 4.4mm cables and the BGVP DM6. A nearly perfect combination, I almost forgot how nice the DM6 sounds.
My DM7 is waiting for an original 4.4mm cable from BGVP

You mean something like this? That normally only happens with non-touch monitors and TV screens, not with devices like the X7 which have a glass screen. I for sure don't have this problem.I want to ask you, do you notice any lcd ripples when you press the screen? Especialy at black or dark backgrounds? Mine seems that the glass is. I have exactly this issue, of course not at this extend... but if i push a little harder at the screen i notice some ripples like this at the borders at the screen and if the background is dark enough. It is not that bad but it is noticeable ... i went to fiio store and they saw me another fiio ( x7 the older) with the same issue and they told me it was totally common, and not a problem... but i still doubt about it... i dont feel veeery safe taking fiio with me in the pocket with this issue... also thanks for the reply my friend!!You mean something like this? Dear user,Am I the only facing issue playing DSD 256 with the latest Fiio Music App update (https://www.fiio.com/newsinfo/364625.html) on my X7 II ?
For info:
The DSD 64 are played without any issue.
And I not not have any DSD 128 to test with.

Dear user,
Did you meet the same issue in previous version? All your DSD256 file have issue? What's the detailed problem?
Best regards
Dear user,Hello,
I did not have this issue in the previous version. It appears since I updated the Fiio app to 1.1.8.
All my DSD256 are impacted.
Again no issue with my DSD64.
Here is how I would describe my problem :
The playback starts but the sound coming out from the X7 II is mostly "cracks" and "cricks".
I can still guess which sound is playing from what I am listening (during from the few milliseconds here and there that sounds ok).
I hope my description can help the Fiio engineers,
Best regard
