This has been a thing on Fiio Daps, for a minute, in my experience. It goes back to software development. Gotta just deal with , as I doubt the alphabetical order view will ever be fixed

They got a X7 case but no X5III or X7II. I would think they would go of sales and popularity so the QP1R but not X5III is puzzling? I know FiiO moved more units than the QP1R did (I'm pretty sure anyway)

I'm sure they do sell more X7ii's compared to the QP1R, maybe because FiiO releases regular firmware updates, whereas Questyle hasn't since December 2016 even though there is a well known battery indicator fault.

amazing if you use the Convolver effect in Viper Effect and import the profile that was provided on the iSine thread into Convolver. Then you get something very close to the Cipher cable sound, and even better IMHO. I use it the way i described, with a balanced cable = awesome.

Apologies if this has been covered, but I could not find anything. I create playlists on my PC, and transfer them over. Thing is I see no way of maintaining the order of tracks as the player puts them the tracks into alphabetical or numerical order which is a real pain! I’ve had a few players over the year and this has never been a problem. I just downloaded neutron and this does seem to list tracks in the order that I curated the playlist, but it does not look that nice compared to the stock app. Am I doing something if not Fiio can you fix this?

Sorry for the late reply. Did you using the external playlists like .m3u? The orders of the songs in the playlist would depend on the order you set when creating the playlist in the Foobar or other software.
Or maybe you can send your playlist to us for confirming for you first?

this seems to have worked for me. Had to do some trial and error but finally got it to work.
After doing everything they said I reviewed and edited the playlist in txt editor.

Hey all,

Has anyone had any luck with the Viper Effects section of the Fiio Player? It doesn't seem to do much for me. I've tried changing every option that I can (including Convolver, which is 'premium' only) and it has zero effect. Maybe its just my ears but surely changing the Viper EQ would do SOMETHING?

Any help would be brilliant!

Indeed I did. On and off several times. It’s how I’m coming to the conclusion it’s not working quite right for me.

You should easily be able to hear the one that adds bass, I think it's called Dynamic System?

I am finding it a bit peculiar how it’s not adding anything to the music. Is it limited to certain types of output? I’m confused! Haha.
And yes, you’re correct. Dynamic System is an option within Viper Effects.

I saw a brief, but positive take on the pairing of the x7ii with Campfire Andromeda by ExpatinJapan earlier in this thread. Any other takes on this setup? Just ordered a set, anticipating a good match with the low output z of the x7ii. Since I gotta wait at least through the weekend for delivery hoping to hear from others in the meantime so I can start questioning my choices, hahaha.

I have been using the X7ii/Andromeda for the last 3-4 weeks, and I absolutely love it; it has to me the perfect balance between the level of details that can lead to a critical listening, and the sound signature that makes any music a real pleasure.
I am actually not looking further in my DAP/IEM search.
