OTG is when you hook up a USB drive with music on it and play it through the player. USB out is when you hook it to another unit that supports USB out and you play the files on the fiio through that unit. Fiio has not been good for this with any player I know of. I can do this with my cheep phone (Moto G4 Plus) without any problem. All I can say is good luck.
Wrong OTG is both USB drives and external DAC's. In either case you have to hook them up via an OTG cable.

Got mine yesterday. I'm impressed with the SQ, which is really great for this price point.
But I got one problem. Some of my 24/192 FLAC files sound noisy and modulated (like using a guitar effect of vibrato/chorus).
These files play without any problem on various AK players (SP1000Cu, AK240, and AK70mk2). I played these files from the same micro SD card so that files are not corrupted or damaged.
Interestingly, when I used the USB DAC option on X7mk2 from MacBook Pro via Roon, there was no problem. Again they are the same files simply stored on my Mac.

Has anyone experienced similar issues?

I'm uploading one now. The file name is "01-01 A Harp In New York (FLAC 192.0 kHz 24-bit).flac".

I have 2 albums that X7mk2 has problems playing:
Hiromi & Edmar Castaneda, "Live in Montreal", 24/192, purchased from Pro Studio Masters
Diana Krall, "Turn Up The Quiet", 24/192, purchased from HD Tracks

Thank you.

Nice review buddy...any chance you can compare the fiio x5 3rd gen with it as well ?

Vs X5-III, I think that X7 MKII sounds more honest, doesn’t try to hide anything, offering a perfect balance between technicalities and musicality.

X5-III hides a bit the smaller details, from 6 Khz and up is quite easy to notice this, also on very good recordings, X5-III sounds a bit slower si sometimes doesn’t keep up with explosive dynamics and with a crowded interpretation.

X5 sounds syrupy and musical, but it is a coloration that can often spoil the rest of technicalities.

I consider X7-II to be in another league, clearly a higher one, from a certain amount of money, I expect a honest, neutral, real, very technical and natural presentation.

It should also be noted that ladies unanimously decided that the red X5-III is much nicer looking than X7 Mark II, so considering WAF factor, the cheaper DAP wins without a question. 

I actually did if you would read my review there is a comparison with X5-III

See what I did there?

Just help the dude or ignore him.

Additional information and clarification about the issue:
The music tracks in the above mentioned 2 albums can be played flawlessly by AK SP1000Cu and AK240.
Using MacBook Pro as a source, Hugo 2 and Denon DA-310USB also played these files without any problem via Roon.
While X7mk2 played them with no problem when using it as a USB DAC (source: MacBook Pro + Roon), the display showed 48kHz instead of 192.
On my X7mk2, PowerAmp played them without problems. However, I read somewhere that PowerAmp downsample the files to 48kHz. If this is true, X7mk2 can play these files after downsampling to 48. But at the native sampling rate of 192, it plays them with distortion and modulation.

Hope this helps.

I confirm that Sandisk Ultra 400GB Micro SDXC UHS-I Card works with X7mk2.

Physically it's not a problem. What about the software?
Are you able to use it similar like an 256GB card?

In the X5 3rd it can be used as well, but it is very slow when searching for a title, an album or an artist.
I use it in folder mode, that's okay, but the processor on the X5 seems to be too slow to handle that amount of data.

I guess it won't be too bad on X7 mk2. I say this since I have two 200Gb cards (full to 90%) and navigating/searching is still fast.
My 2 cents

I don’t see any problem so far. Browsing albums and playing tracks are as fast as using 200GB card that I used to use. Now I’m using the fully loaded 200GB card on my AK240.

I have a fully loaded 400GB in slot one of my X7ii exFAT formatted on a pc loaded with FLAC, Mp3 and DSD working perfectly 8720 tracks total. I'll see if I can get 2 to work next month if I can afford it!

I confirm that Sandisk Ultra 400GB Micro SDXC UHS-I Card works with X7mk2.

Searching is no slower on mine with 400 + 256 in the slots than 2x256 was. Check your tagging to make sure they are right may help, mp3tag is a help in doing this..
