Tonight I have not been able to listen to music. Each time the display was in sleep, the music would stop, and to resume playback I had to turn on the display everytime. Sadly my patience is exhausted, my adventure with this device ends here.

Can understand the frustration.  Haven't been spending time with X7 lately because of reviews, so I will test again and see if I can replicate.  FWIW - I have an early X5iii release - and it did something similar today for first time.  I'm sure once FiiO aware - they will sort out a fix.

This problem sounds like something that FiiO should and would sort out urgently once they know about it (?)

How are you finding X5-3 so far?

I have rebooted several times, without results.
I have fixed now deleting app data in Fiio Music.
I' passed more time fixing the device than listening, and this is no good at all...

I had the same issue yesterday. I gave up to listening music. I erased the device and apparently everything is ok...but...no one know for how long...

I like the X7 very much but the final firmware with no simple bugs must be released as soon as possible! No ones stand it anymore...

If you decided to try one more time - shut it down first. then hold Volume+ and Power together for a few seconds until it start again and bring you into the bootloader, select wipe data / factory reset to clean out all the old database that might be left from previous firmware installation (note: it will also clean everything out, including all the apps you installed and music on the X7's internal memory). Once restart is completed, test again to see if the problem is still there.

Reboot fixed it.  Really nice - love the form factor. For most things it just works.  Only had it a couple of days so still getting to grips with it.

Too early to say yet - but it sounds really good so far.  Sorry - not going to give any comparisons until I'm over the honeymoon period.  Usually if I say something too early, I regret it later :)

So this happened, don't know if this is a bug, a firmware issue or it's gone faulty. I'm on the latest beta FW3.1.2.

Dear JD8456,

Did this issue happens before? You may try to do a factory restore or reboot the X7 to see whether it helps?

Best regards

I have been experiencing the same Wifi issue on all the firmwares (beta included).

About 15 minutes after the screen has gone to sleep (while music keeps streaming), the X7 always loses its wifi connection with my home network, although the settings still indicate that the X7 is "connected."

To reconnect the player to the network I need to deactivate/reactivate the wifi setting.

Anybody has been experiencing this?

That's what I said a few posts back, but there is no "accessiblity" menu in FiiO's customized rom. Even if one enables developer mode.

=> reflash and then factory reset would be my move.

Dear stephanemtl,

Please enter settings-->WiFi-->press the icon with 3 dots in the top right corner-->choose advanced in the pop up window-->Keep WiFi on during sleep-->choose always to see whether it helps.

Best regards
