Can we have option to pay extra fee as option? You could ask them that it would be "pre-paid" option.
They should be fine with that. AptX is quite... important :|

I would buy a Fiio X7 if it's signficantly cheaper then the overpiced 2nd generation Astell & Kern DAPs, if it had two micro SD slots, if it had Android UI and of course if it would sound at least equally good as Astell & Kern gadgets. At the moment I still use a first generation AK 100 (Mk2). Soundwise I'm very satisfied, but I'm sick and tired of its behaviour (voluntary library scans several times a day) and terrible UI. The time to get rid of it is gradually approaching.

you can think the X7 is a combo of an DAP with AMP, so you don't need an extra amp for X7 cause we will release couple different amp module for X7, similar with what HiFiMan's HM801/901/802/650, but our amp module is not build in .

had you tested fiio x5? be sides touchscreen, it should sound as good or even better than ak.
 
x7 is surely to be something special.

better replacement, yes.
 
fiio products are better with the higher number of product. X5>x3>x1. also, x5 alone sound better than e11k, and without rare situations x5 is amazing as a standalone DAP.

how much is known about the amp section at this point? i currently use an X3 and LO into an E12. i much prefer the sound of the E12 to the X3 amp. i'm very happy with this rig, but it would be nice someday to not have to stack and manage charge levels on two devices. do we expect the X7 amp to be as nice as a decent portable amp like the E12? in general, have higher end dap's reached E12 level of performance? surpassed it? (i use HD600 cans btw)

A month ago I bought the AK100II pretty much for the UI, the law of diminishing returns comes into full force with the AK players based just off sound quality. The AK player is very detailed, but compared to the Fiio X1 I was shocked I was expecting to be blown away by the AK player compared to the X1 and was very disappointed. Maybe Fiio's players are just that good. I can't wait for Fiio's X7 I just want a smooth UI I don't need much power since I only use iem's at work. Everyone want's loads of storage I am not a big fan of loads of storage since I would never want my whole library of music on my portable unit.

Yup. I've tried the ak100ii. Its very detailed and has a more neutral signature, which is usually preferable as a source. However, all the fiio have been bang for the buck, and the x1 especially so.
 
The X1 doesn't have a flat signature, not supremely detailed, sound stage is not exceptional, but its detailed enough, and soundstage is decent enough. But then its already slightly nitpicking. What more can you ask from a 100+ DAP!

It's the best DAP you can get for your money. I can't wait for the X7 any kind of change to there UI will be welcomed. That's the main feature I am looking for in a portable DAP, especially for at work, working in a machine shop and always moving around I want ease of controls. It would be different if I was riding a chair all day behind a desk.

Nope, haven't had yet a possibility to test listen a Fiio product. Have you directly compared X5 with AK100 (MK2)? I've read several reviews that X5 does not have the same neutral and detailed sound signature as AK.
