Keep dropping those hints, James. It's like a trail of breadcrumbs leading to some kind of sonic happiness.

Yes, but when a 'keychain remote accessory' was brought up I found it interesting after the iRiver discusions. Believe me, I'll wait for James to do what James will do, but I think it's a unique idea that would be neat to implement. Not just for FiiO but the whole player market with BT including smartphones. Would be handy.

I totally agree, the remote - once you use it you cannot live without it. The BT enables any media keyboard remote to work with player but FiiO, can make something... looking crap hot :)

Notice also that BT remote gives more space for sizing device, "it can just stay in pocket".

Let fiio just make sure they use recent android supporting new BT protocols.

I believe James was just saying that the X7 will be able to play that format.

Food for thought... http://www.amazon.com/PNY-Elite-Performance-256GB-Speed/dp/B00FF90EZM

heaven knows when 256gb microSD cards will be 1) available 2) $99.99

Anyway, I noted, with some amusement, this evening, that the X1, which I was aware of but had paid no attention to, does, ironically, incorporate an in-line remote, just as I was mentioning (on the previous page) as a wish-list item for the X7 (or at least that's what James said in the original title of the X1 thread: http://www.head-fi.org/t/691332/the-all-new-fiio-x1-192k-24b-pcm5142-dac-and-100mw-output-with-lo-and-inline-remote )

That's certainly a big old card (size).  I imagine the smaller the physical size, the harder it is to fit all that memory in there.

I bought a Sandisk 128 micro a few weeks ago from Amazon for $89.  So I think James is correct that prices will be falling for the bigger ones as they become (more) available.

And yes, the X1 does work with in-line (to a point).  I think there are some limitations with what you can do with it, so check before rushing out all excited and buying an in-line remote.

Well, a discussion about what DXD is and how it sounds in comparison with DSD and why is really not "on-topic" re the X7.  James saying simply that the X7 will play DXD is on-topic.

I'm just looking forward towards the X7 regardless, as it will be interesting to see how well fiio implements this. While I picked the DX90 over the X5, it wasn't because the X5 was not good, but more of the X5 not suiting my taste. Hoping to see it vs iBasso's upcoming flagship as well. This time, I MIGHT just get both.

I'm using a E12diy btw, so I am a Fiio supporter too. :)
