I just found a bug when connecting X7 to WooAudio WA8. When using USB out to WA8, it generates faint pop sound. Sounds like playback badly compressed MP3 files. Is there a solution to this problem?

After a day and still no response from Fiio. Does this mean X7 is abandoned? I cannot believe that X5 can be a transport while the top of the line X7 cannot! This is ridiculous!

I don't think X7 has USB out, only line out/coaxial out.

Dear Joseph Lin,

Sorry if the late reply. USB Audio function of X7 currently is only compatible with some devices. Maybe your device is not quite compatible with the X7. We will still try to improve it in later firmware.

Best regards

@FiiO

For the upcoming X7ii, could you consider implementing a universal EQ?

In other words, an EQ that users would be able to apply to music that is downloaded for offline listening from streaming services.

I listen primarily to music downloaded from TIDAL for offline listening. I need to be able to boost the bass though... and I currently am not able to do this.

Is this impossible to implement? Or is it possible?

@FiiO @FiiO USA @FiiO-Shadow I found an antique problem on the last stable firmware. Sometimes the music stops to play, after the screen turns off, like pause the music. After some long time the music return.

Dear Fred-svv,

Thank you for your kind feedback.

I will report to our engineers about that. Are there any certain operations or settings lead to the issue? Maybe you can share with us. Sorry for bringing inconvenience to you and thank you in advance!

Best regards

My X7 is a mixed bag, very mixed. Software very buggy, I can't get Pandora to play consecutive songs, must always manually advance. Software upgrade process too difficult, does not work as an external DAC on my Win10, many other annoying quirks. However, in simple internal music play mode it sounds terrific! For the sound quality I keep it.

Interesting! I wish I could had spent enough time with one to have a complex opinion on it!

Have you tried plugging it in a 2.0 USB port? Some usb 3.0 had problems on windows with X5-3 as well, so maybe that will solve your problem

I had this problem too until someone advised me to do a factory reset and also empty/refresh the database. It's easily done and worked for me.
