Actually, while it is the same chipset, isn't the implementation slightly different? As in, you're going through more OPA1622's when you listen to the SE out (as with FiiO's diagram on their website). Please correct me if I'm wrong in any way, I'm no electrical engineer.

 
I have to say that I'm in the camp that does hear a difference with the AM3. While the difference between the SE and balanced isn't nearly as big as I've heard with other amps, I still could hear one (although somewhat subtle) after volume-matching. Though I do acknowledge that it could be my brain just wanting to hear that.

With HD 650, theAM3  difference between SE and balanced is stunning. Double power and increased grab on the drivers might be the explanation.

I'm looking for a balanced cable for my HD-650, right now. I'm not sure if I want to go for the Moon Audio or something for a little less money.

This is one aspect I didn't mention earlier, but yes I do mostly agree with this - harder to drive headphones will see a bigger difference. When I tried out my HE1000 for fun with the AM3, there was definitely a more noticeable difference than with my other headphones between the SE out and the balanced out, but it still wasn't enough difference that I would be willing to call the X7 being very capable of driving that particular headphone.

DSD plays correctly - .ddf, .dsf files are able to be played. Fantastic sound quality within LO and ALO Rx (iem version nickel limited).
The only thing is .iso are not played. When I press it to be played - there is short response such as "DSF files are not supported". Nibby player plays them well in FW2.0.

b) My concern is now about live wallpapers - there is still no leafs and haze - two of my favourite one.
-Are they going to be added in further versions?
-What about new live wallpapers?
-is there any place of downloading the new one and instruction for installation?

c) I think it will be great if this thread would have something like folders or subfolders which would be related to this or that theme of X7. For example, the folder dedicated to amps (0,1,2,2a,3,5..); the folder dedicated to known bugs; the folder dedicated to suggestions; the folder dedicated to impressions; the folder dedicated to sales; and so on...

My unit keeps stopping mid song and resumes immediately if i unlock the screen or if i wait 10 or more seconds.
So i assume i should just update the firmware, but at this point in time which one?. I will pretty much live in pure music folder mode and aren't too fussed about other features at this stage.

fw 2.0 is the latest stable release, and i would recommend this one.

fw 1.8 is fine too.

fw3.0+ is beta firmware, and is not recommended. when 3.0 gets released officially, then think about that. but not now.

3 things about search function in FiiO music App:

1. The caption inside the search box always says "Search songs here". This is not true, if you're in artists it searches "artists", not songs. In albums again the same.
2. Search is case sensitive, it shouldn't be. It finds correctly everything if you use the correct case.
3. The search box lettering is too dark, but about this I want say a word in the future... :mad:

1) I wanted to split the .iso to separate files such as .ddf and .dsf. After the split - everything works well. But now the size of the album is 2.4gb instead of ~1gb. Anyway, thank you so much!))
2) Can't wait to see some old and new one, because they really really matter for perception and work with X7. I really really like new uploading gift animation!! Better than previous one.
3) this suggestion is not about X7 device itself - it is about structurization of this forum, of our discussion of X7, so it is not about engineers))
