  Yes, Theo, I was on fw 2.2 before and it was very difficult to get to the card selection w/o many steps. Now it's so easy and it looks a heck of a lot better! Now I can't easily fault the X5 on anything at all!

You should have a go at making your own theme. It really isn't as difficult as you'd think, it can just be a bit tedious sometimes..but fun nonetheless

So I am slammed and will get the X5 in a week or 2 so is it alright if I use one of the themes? I'll have a try myself as I am into creative expression but on the X5 that will have to wait a bit and some of the themes like the Matrix just look so badass,

I used a couple, just seeing what I liked/what made the device easier to use, then took one and adapted it (with Loquah's kind help unpacking and packing it back up again)  and posted it here.  Play with them, there are lots of choices.  Then, if you like, try adapting one.  No reason to reinvent the wheel.

I don't even know how to flash the firmware but it looks like there is a tool for windows? Put the file on the micro sd left side and then......(gotta read more

...then power on while holding the top left button (around the wheel - the shortcut/menu button) until you see a red/green bar appear on screen. At that time, let go of the buttons and wait... Job done

The Matrix theme is pretty much complete, but I have not had time to port it to the the new firmware version yet.

Nice job on the firmware updates, I like how the direction of the wheel has been corrected in the right orientation that it should be going in. (I was getting very confused)
I have been using firmware 2.3 and it and it's sounding excellent with the eq off, it is sounding very balanced with a dynamic bass now, it would be worth doing a upgrade port on.
And keep up the good work. Well done to those involved.

Can someone please joh my memory about which .bin files I need to copy/paste into new firmware so I don't have to copy/paste all the image files over? I'd like to try 2.30beta but much prefer my list mod fw over stock fw. Thanks!
