Hi there, i have been reading though this thread but could not find a answer to my question.

I have been using my Fiio 5 3rd gen both for headphone duty, and also as a player via the aux in my car.
It was in my car the other day that i started to notice static noise during quiet parts of the music, on turning up i could here it more.
i swapped the power supply from usb direct to usb via cigarette lighter, and the noise was still there. unplug and run from battery no no noise.

I went to test of the power in the house, and then i got a faint hum, i also tried with different usb cables. i am sure this has on only just happened, as i have been running via powered usb in the car a lot since the software upgrade has made this easier.

has anyone else noticed this with their player, or is there a possibility of some thing wrong with the unit?

Hmmmm.......

You dislike large playlists?

I have around 20.000 songs and some of them were literally listened twice or three times while others were listened tens of times over the years :L3000:

About 200 GB of mSD space are more than enough for me so far, having a large library is as important as it is knowin what is in your library and such

Can I use the stacking kit with the leather case still attached? Or does the player have to be naked?

player has to be naked. the frame fits the player exact. i couldn't even use it with the plastic casing. also, if your amp is the same size, i find that the rubber bands keep rolling off. I have to cross the bands like an 'X' over my amp (A5) instead of horizontal banding like suggested.

Sure you can “find” a song while listening to your playlist. Now try playing the song and continuing with the playlist? Did FIIO ever hear the term “Add to Now Playing”?

Hmmmm.......

Dear friend,

Yes, we did report to our engineers and product managers about this. We are trying to add this feature in later firmware.

Best regards

@FiiO
why you don't answer?
Dear friend,

Sorry if the late reply. It takes us some time for confirming with our engineers.
For the Greek alphabet order, just as my colleague told you, we are afraid that we can not implement that feature. The loading speed will be terriblely slow down if adding that.
And we may not have something like Hibylink in the future by now.

Best regards

Thanks for the tip but I don't think this does solve the sort problem. I have tried this method several times. Just now I tried it sorting on Artist and noticed the following result:

Andre Marie Tala
Andy Williams
Andrew & Jim Baxter
Andre Rieu
Andrea Bocelli

The correct sort will should be:

Andre Marie Tala
Andre Rieu
Andrea Bocelli
Andrew & Jim Baxter
Andy Williams

With a small collection this error in sorting is a small or perhaps nonexistent problem; however, in a larger collection it is a serious frustration.

I just tried the same sort in the Neutron App and Andrew Lloyd Weber, Andrew Hill and Andrew Bird showed up in the sort I didn't see them in the FIIO App sort because they were out of order.

Slightly changing the subject - With regard to genre, Neutron too does not seem to handle multiple genres. This gives FIIO an opportunity to rise above the competition.
Dear friend,

According to the feedback from our engineers, we are trying to improve the sorting in category in later firmware. Sorry if bringing inconvenince to you.

Best regards
