Is anyone having or experienced the power light on but no screen?
I did a 10-15 second reset and it worked, after I shut it down and on again it is same problem but now the reset doesn't help.
 
Is there a plan B? 
This is a brand new unit - it seemed pretty awesome while it worked.
 
Bad week for my Fiio stuffs - X7 screen started to come unglued inside, ( 2 months out of warranty ):   that's already back in China - thanks to the team at Canjam.

Yes, I was on the review tour and took the pic for my impending review. I ended up purchasing one for use as a transport and simple convenience when travelling (and also so I could spend more needed time with it for the review). Unfortunately the digital audio out from USB is still not implemented as advertised, and coaxial out is limited for some reason so I'm delaying said review. Maybe next FW update as FiiO mentioned recently.

Hi!  What did you think of the Audeze LCD's with the X5 3?  Just curious.

They were ok. They both sound better from a good desktop amp (obviously) but not bad from the X5-3. Both could be driven to loud volume. I really like the LCD-2.2 from the Mojo, but didn't like the LCD-XC from the Mojo. I do like the LCD-XC from the X5-3, but don't like the LCD-2.2 as much from the X5-3.

Yes, I had this problem on a couple of occasions. The x5 wouldn't come out of whatever mode it was in. Blue light on but nobody home.

I held down the button for a few minutes until it gave up and went off and then powered on again. It has happened twice since I bought it.

Was scary and thought it was dead after only a few days of use but seems okay and no worse for wear when it comes back.

  I've finally been bitten by one of these "bugs" in either the software or firmware. I get tracks that either randomly restart, or simply switch to a different track. How did this pass "QA"?  I will look around and see if there is a "simple" fix.

  When Fiio have fixed the accepted bugs & provided the officially delayed functions (USB out, in-car feature, etc.), it would be great if they could then give us a few little extras as a "Thank You" for being such a lovely bunch of buyers. Maybe you'll get the Add to Now Playing & I'll get Playlist Import if these are popular amongst the user-base? I wonder what extra features other people would vote for (only one vote each)? I think parametric EQ might be up there?

Your kind feedback is much appreciated. If eveything goes well, we would add the in-vehicle mode to X5III in next firmware version. As for some other advices, we have also reported to the engineers.

All this back and forth about the channel balance setting prompted me to give it a try here. My experience is the same: setting the channel balance to L9 or R9 had a subtle effect but not nearly as much as I would have expected. In addition to this,I found that this setting only had any sort of effect on the headphone port (I don't have a balanced cable for my headphones yet so I couldn't test the balanced out connector). With my X5III connected to my K5 dock, the channel balance setting had no effect whatsoever.

The balance adjustment may only be available in headphone out. If you feel the range of adjustment is not big enough for you, you can also try the Master Gate--Channel Pan from Viper effect to see whether it helps.

  I think a lot of us would really appreciate it if you did away with the PRESET EQ's and gave us 4 or more custom eq's that we could customize ourselves and save under our specific names.  That would allow us to instantly choose the EQ for our different headphones, and playback devices such as home system, powered speakers, car 1 and car 2.  This is a MUST HAVE feature.

Actually, you can reset some other preset EQ by yourself as well. But you can't change their name.

  Good question. Considering my BL is brand new I have not had time to test out both extensively thus far I have been just using coax out. Will give it a go with line out and report laters. 
 
So far I love the convienience of just using the X5iii with iems and even easy to drive headphones like my Thinksound On2, Philips Fidelio L2 and ATH-MSR7. All 3 sound excellent on the X5iii.
 
X5iii + BL --> TH-X00.. This right here is about as good as it gets for me. 

Fair enough, I look forward to your impressions. I'm unsure whether its worth getting an decent optical cable. What iems are you using with the Fiio?
