Oh geez... My Fiio is coming in today, but the flurry of bug reports has me concerned. :worried:

Don't be concerned. Mine arrived last week and so far I have not had any issued with Spotify, library scanning or any other bugs for that matter. Just enjoy it when it comes.

Agreed. My X5III has been a joy to use. Yes, the interface has a few quirks that I had to get used to and I have noticed a few bugs here and there (alphabetical sorting isn't quite right; special characters don't display correctly in all cases) but over all I have not encountered any show stopping issues.

Enjoy your X5III when it arrives. It's a great little DAP.

Hi @FiiO, the delay would happen when I resume playing my current track at Fiio music app. Pausing the song does not impose any problem but when I resume playing the song there will be a slight hiccup to the song, which sounds funny and actually skips the song a little bit. It's not much, but it makes the song listening experience a bit unpleasant. I mean it is not as smooth as the play/pause experience in my X5 II.

The third party app support would be great for the hardware buttons but if it is hard to do, it's totally fine. What bugs me the most is the hiccup when you play/pause a song.

I also noticed this. It only happens when pausing, then waiting a few seconds, and then resuming again

For me, it didn't make difference whether if I resume playing the song right away, wait for a little bit, wait until the screen goes off (which I set for 5 minutes), exiting the app and resume playing, or restarting the device, the hiccup when you resume playing the song is still there.

Again, the pause is fine but when you resume playing, there will be a slight hiccup. Everything else is fine too, the fast forward/next and rewind/previous button worked perfectly and everything else also working fine as intended.

An update- clearing the database and the cache every time I attempt to scan has successfully allowed me to scan my full library more frequently. The total is 58,000 tracks or so and it has completed twice in a row now.

However, the program now crashes immediately after only 47,000 or so appear in the library. I have sent crash logs across the board and don't understand why this is now an issue vs. being able to scan all 58,000 a few days ago. The files have not changed since.

@FiiO  - I would love to hear back about this as you can!

I was having the same experience (and was getting annoyed with it as well). Once I trained myself to hold the power button whilst I counted to 5, I found that the device powered on more reliably.

Same here; I hold the button for 3 seconds and I let go, then the blue light comes on after 2. so a total of 5 seconds altogether.

In FW 1.1.3 I was able to switch off the screen by touching O (middle soft button) and sliding up my finger. I like this option but now in FW X.4 that option disappeared @FiiO
could you bring back this one ?!

another bug I recently noticed:
- sometimes I do not see the player window where is cover and all the buttons (and the upper part of view where on the bottom are playlists) I just see playlists nothing more - so to bring back the view I need to restart device.

Dear gorski,

It seems I failed to understand well whatyou mean well. Would you mind sending PM to us or providing some picture for your issue?
You can turn off the screen by touching the O button in the middle of the bottom? But this button is for returning to main interface.
You can't go into the main interface of the FiiO Music? Playlists? Do you mean the local music interface? Thank you in advance!

Best regards

Hi Everyone,

got my X5III today. Sound is really great.
Here is my first question:

I have a bluetooth remote control which is pairing and working good. The remote control has no keyboard.
But, if the BT device is connected, the x5iii does not show me the screen-keyboard (i.e. if searching something).
After disconnecting the BT-remote the screen-keyboard appears again.

I tried to change something in the android-settings but cannot find a solution.

Any help would be very much appreciated!

Regards
Günter

@Fiio suggestion: please make active a simple (left/right) audio balance control working on analog line out
(and FW 1.1.1 had more bass, at least for me)

Dear Sinarca,

Do you mean that the channel balance function seems fail to work in lineout? We will contact this to our engineers about that. If you don't mind, you can try the Master Gate(Limiter)--Channel Pan from Viper effect to see whether it can meet your need?

Best regards

How do you recognize when the battery is fully charged?
For me only this is possible - after 2-2,5h I'm clicking the power on/off button, waiting through the welcome screen and then the battery charging screen shows up. Takes quite long to check on which charging state the battery is.
@FiiO
 - would it be possible to implement that the power on light is switching off when the battery is fully charged? Or am I missing a different possibility?

Dear PsiCore,

If you charge the X5III in power off status, the big white battery icon would become full and static when fully charged.
If you charge the X5III in power on status, you may turn on the battery percentage display from setting--Battery to see whether it helps?

Best regards

Dear guebac,

Do you mean that the keyboard won't appear in searching function of FiiO Music, if you collect the X5III to your Bluetooth device? What's the keyboard you are using and what's your Bluetooth device?

Best regards

Hi FiiO,

... Do you mean that the keyboard won't appear in searching function of FiiO Music, if you collect the X5III to your Bluetooth device? ...

Yes, exactly!

I use a Satechi-Bluetooth-Remote. It only has buttons for Skip/Play, <, >, Vol+, Vol-

In Android I use the "Android-Tastatur (AOSP) / German".

Thanks for Your efforts.

Thanks, but one thing seems strange to me. When I charge the battery from a PC (still in power off status), clicking power on/off immediately takes me to the big battery icon. But when I charge through a wall charger, clicking power on/off first takes me to the welcome screen and than it switches to big battery icon - takes quite some time and is not quite user friendly.

I think it would be also a good idea to indicate somehow with the blue light that the battery is fully charged.
1. when charging the led blinks and when charged it stops blinking (constant light)
or
2. when charging constant light and when charged it switches the led off

Dear hAbIrAbI,
The replay gain function is only available in Viper effect by now. We will consider adding to the FiiO Music directly in latter firmware.
We will report to the engineers about the album artist function and have a look at it. Thank you for the feedback.

Best regards

I strongly disagree: I prefer Artist over Album Artist. So maybe give the option, but please don't change it.
