Well after a few more hours burn in they've turned out to be a bit of a surprise have these little gems. Bass has settled down and they are a nice little set and drive very nicely out of my 300 max on balanced , certainly worth more than the price they sell at. So in saying that I decided to give them a proper upgrade as the first mod of cutting down the cables and adding the Mmcx ( bit too long ) wasn't really looking that good, just didn't want to spend time on them if they didn't improve which they have so on to the next stage, backs removed with adding a bit of glue remover and rework station set at 150 deg warmed them up and popped open the backs and removed the cables ready to add a flush set of silver mmcx connectors, will post more pics as I go but here's a few for now.

Link wires done, had to use a microscope to solder them in as it's a tight working space whichever you solder first, pad or connectors. Soldered to connectors first and then pushed through and clipped to fit pads and soldered down with my trusty hakko iron with a curved tip. Measured resistance and applied clear epoxy glue to inside of housing and some around the outside, put a decent amount on the outer to make sure it's secure and got into the gaps fully, just curing now and then will tidy up the excess.

Seems burn-in do the job. First received abt a week ago, the sound seems blurry/muddy, plug for burn-in with fiio k3 left for a week, and today tried again. Sound improved much better.
I agree. Burn in is absolutely mandatory with these. Huge improvement afterwards. I gave them 100 hours.

Good form factor, decent tuning. Could do without the mic but hey it’s 20 bucks. A bit dark sounding but not suffocatingly so, and the midrange resonance adds space. Easy buy right here folks.
