What are you even talking about? Any additional function should be switchable. That is, next to the transparency regulator, check the box "Automatically turn on when paused". Just turn it off (when it appears in the future), if you don't need it, and then you won't have to talk about it much.

I just told you my personal priorities; I don’t understand why it’s hard to grasp. Ambient mode is wonderful — I use it every time I go somewhere.

Just buy Shure TW2 and be done with it. It has everything you are looking for for just a bit more money but has 2 year US based warranty, no sending to China. I use with 2 pin with adapters. The environment mode works perfectly and app is much better.

I have the Shure TW2 but some of my IEM's need more power. Also, with the 2 pin adapter it's a bit long. If the Shure TW2 had a bit more power or a 2 pin version, they would be perfect and I wouldn't look elsewhere.

Unfortunately this does not work for me. The firmware upgrades, but that version of FIIO Control will not install as not compatible with my Pixel 9 pro running stock Android 15. Any suggestions?

UTWS5 2025 is missing Battery Protection option in application while UTWS5 Gen1 still has it.
Have FiiO removed this option for 2025 model?

Just use the latest version. Automatic volume mode works fine for me.

What is the expected life of the batteries? I presume its now even shorter with out 'battery protection' and wireless charging resistance will heat them up more causing even more rapid degradation.

Please consider making the batteries replaceable so the device isn't junk after 100-300 cycles

It can fit Moondrop Blessing 2. Which are pretty big IEMs

Hi. Can the filter type (peak, lowshelf, highshelf) be selected in FiiO app for UTWS5 2025 when setting PEQ? I have the older UTWS5 and filter type can't be selected and I was wondering if this was fixed with the new UTWS5 version. Thanks.
