I officially ask fiio represent here how to know that dsd stream from roon would pass through sr11 to external dac by usb connection. Does certain info about external dacs should be in firmware of SR11. I suspect that some dacs would not recognize sr11 as source in usb connection.

I’ve been enjoying the SR11 with roon. However, after about 20 to 30 minutes of listing the SR11 just looses connection and no longer appears in Roon. I have to power off then on again for it to appear. Anyone else experiencing this issue?

Hello!
After flashing my FIIO SR11 to v174 DLNA firmware, the device stopped booting. The FIIO screensaver is constantly hanging. Restarting the power supply does nothing. The device does not respond to the buttons.
I stitched it according to this instruction

@FiiO after several days this issue persists! After 10 or 20 minutes the SR11 just disconnects from my network and has to be restarted to reappear. It does this even when no music is being streamed.

I have a good 5G network at home with a 1gb network connection.

No other device ever disconnects like this and the SR11 is placed in a good location with a direct line of sight to my router.

Is there a firmware update coming out that might address this issue?

EDIT: I just read on a couple of other forums that a number of other people are experiencing the exact same issue as me.

I wonder if it has something to do with the test Roon Ready firmware that has not been certified by Roon.

Hi, can your USB DAC show the input sampling rate or have other indication about DSD input? If yes, you could learn whether the SR11 is outputting DSD signal to the USB DAC from the message shown in the USB DAC.

Hi, please check whether the following methods help:
Getting stuck
Please long press the power button to turn off the SR11 or replug the power plug to restart.
Clear pairing
When the SR11 is powered on, poke the reset pole in the rear panel of the SR11 to clear pairing and restore factory setting.
If the issue remains, please show a small video of the SR11 problem so we could understand the phenomenon better via PM or email support@fiio.com

FW V226 fixed the connection issue for me for Roon (which is great)

Still have an issue where AirPlay disappears after a few minute in Mix mode (but Roon still works). I can live with that for now though as I got the SR11 primarily for use with Roon.

It’s great that FiiO are on the case and fixing issues though

Mine should arrive today, to pair with the K11 R2R.

Really hoping firmware development is well under way and we can see Airplay 2 & Bluetooth soon. It will be a killer product once they’re implemented.

Up and running now and is sounding good so far. No connection issues as of yet. Airplay via Iphone 13 mini.

So far so good. Much prefer this than inputting a code into my iPad every time I want to browse about or change albums. Obviously not as “high res” as when I’ve been using USB but doubt I’d notice anyway!

Has anyone of owner of SR11 tried to send with roon for example (or any other capable software for that) dsd direct to SR11 and output it as native to dac with SR11 usb output. Could you try that Skev source to SR11 and to your K11 and inform us...Thanks to anyone who respond....
