FiiO releases the new firmware FW1.7.2 for X1 2nd gen

I also find my Fiio X1 II extremely slow I only have 300 songs on it and a 64 GB class 10 card. The whole UI feels sluggish and sometimes i find it hard to select option because the lag is so bad. Im running newest firmware as well.

Yep, that is true for me also, but I have only 126 songs and 32Gb card (of course formatted as FAT32). An older model X1 has the same CPU and much better performance, why?
Also I've caught another bug - it takes about 4-5 seconds to open rather small 48KHz MP3 files.
@FiiO please fix these performance issues and some annoying bugz and this player may become the next legend like its predecessor

I just bought an X1 G2 a few days ago. I've been a long time Creative Zen user because these units always blew the doors off anything that Apple made.  The X1 G2 is, sonically, a significant improvement on the Zen.  I upgraded the firmware and like others have seen serious issues with the scrolling wheel.  It's now jumpy and imprecise. Please fix this.  I'm sure that it's been brought up but will future firmware updates include bookmarks?  This feature would make the X1 an audio book player that would match the Zens.  Until that happens, I'll use the Zen for audiobooks and the X1 for music.

Since updating my X1 II to the 1.5.6 firmware, I've noticed that scrolling with the scroll wheel is significantly twitchier and prone to runaway scrolling. I didn't notice this behaviour with the prior firmware build. Is anyone else experiencing this or is it just me?

Yes I noticed this too and if under settings you disable Scroll Wheel press function the scroll wheel should then work normally.

Wondering if you can help. I have just brought the x1 gen2 a week ago. The problem is it starts up fine with welcome and fiio screens showing then I just get a black screen. Only fix has been to remove the sd card and reboot. This has happened now with 2 different brand new sd cards both formatted by the x1. Has been working ok some times and others try to access one of the music menu's and just get the black screen and have to remove and reboot all over again.

Also updating library takes like a hour and a half for 44g. Not such a problem if I do at night but with the troubles mentioned above and having to remove the card I have to keep updating.

Dear eddy79,

Sorry to hear about that. What's the firmware version of your X1II? And what's the brand and capaticy of your cards?
You may do a factory restore and switch th update media library to manual to see whether it helps?

Best regards

Firmware is 1.5.6. Have already done a factory reset and still does it. Both cards are new. One is SanDisk 200g and other is Samsung 64g. Have used on both manual and auto update and does on both settings.

Have found that I need to start without a card then insert. Can't be in the music menus or the above happened and once library updated if I go to now playing it happens. I have to choose a song to start. Once playing it seems fine. It appears to happen while trying to access the music.

Thanks for your help

Have only had it for a week and this is the firmware it came with. Will try changing the title setting once I get home in a few hours.

No inconvenience its great to have such responsive care from a manufacturer.
