Hi guys. How do I avoid duplication of files in the R7's database and how do I fix it? Seems to be caused by removing SSD to add music and the rescanning after reconnecting it. Thanks.

I failed to reproduce this issue. You may try to clear the database and scan again to see whether the issue remains?

Some of my songs failed to show the Album Covers pictures. The name of those picts are correctly changed to as same as the name of the folder.

Please advise. thx

I had a similar problem and checked the File-Tags in Tag N Rename, and discovered if the track-listing numbers within the file tag info (not file name) where listed as more than a singular amount, the folder pic would not show, ie if the numeric listing was just say Track 1 being 01 within the tag, that was fine. But if it was listed as 01/01 the folder pic wouldn’t show, this could be a one off glitch I had, and nothing to do with your problem.

Thanks for your help. Unfortunately the problem continues. Here's what I did:-

Reset Database in Fiio music app
Scan for Music/Scan All
Scanning starts (not sure what the "confirm" button is for)
I wait until all songs added but screen still shows "Scanning Media"
I press "Confirm" but nothing changes
Press back button and tap "Local music" ignoring the red "scan for music" prompt
First album has each track shown 4 times
Next album shows the first track 3 times, 2nd track twice and rest ok
The other albums seem OK
The "files" tab show both albums correctly

Fiio Music Version 1.8 and fiemware version 1.0.3
My external drive is a Samsung T7 with some 17,000 files
I installed UAPP which works fine.

Let me know if you need any more information but no rush as I'll stick with UAPP for now.

If you are covenient, please send the log files to us and we will forward to the engineer for check first.
Extract a LOG file
For special software issues, please extract a LOG file under the root directory, unzip and copy it to the homepage. And then send it to us for analysis.
Please go to " Settings ->About device" , and continually tap “Model number", until the prompt "Have save output log to built-in storage" appears.
Then please wait for about 20 seconds, and go to player's internal storage, then send the folder "fiio_log " to us and inform us the time of the problem for further analysis. Remember to inform us the time of the issue as well. Thanks in advance!
And also the album shown 3/4 times to us.

Where do i upload them? Because the file is a hires one therefore its big like 50MB.
