Is the Q5s TC still sought after? Mine has seen next to no use for over 3 months so time to move it. Still have the original box but might not have all the accessories. Looks like the last one listed on this site's classifieds was back in Jan. 2023.

They are coming out with Q15, which is the successor to the Q5s Tc. I sold mine for about US$150.00 a few months back, complete with untouched box and accessories, etc.

Fat and juicy battery here too yum! I think this device was over priced for what it's worth, paid $290 in 2022 new, dispite that the date on the battery is 2019-09-15.

Overall sound is good but digital after awhile fatigue sets in. (HD 600 & KZ X HBB PR2 IEM)

Hopefully my next portable DAC/AMP combo will beR2R fully balanced with tubes lol.

I only have a normal subscription- does it specify that the files are in HiRes Flac? Only a limited portion of the tidal library is Hires FLAC, and their specification for that is "up to 192khz" so not necessarily such a high sampling rate for every hires track- According to Fiio the Q5 shows blue up to 48khz, while greater than 44khz is usually considered HiRes.

(would also verify exclusive mode is enabled in tidal output settings).

All of that is there, and it's only recently that it wont go from blue to yellow anymore. Sometimes it does, also it says it's flac when it should be but it isn't playing as flac so idk. I think it might be something to do with a directory on my PC if anyone has any suggestions, I forgot what it is.

Okay so MQA from Tidal still plays in yellow. However I still can't get a way to make this work. Apparently it's all about Microsft .NET packages yet I still haven't fixed it.

Regular phone battery works.. I swapped the charge controller with the connectors from the old battery.

Is anyone's FiiO Q5s still working with Tidal on windows 11? Some flac files will light up yellow using it and mqa always does, however 90% of flac for me isn't lighting up yellow, just blue, making me very blue.

I have all of this, and have it switched on in the related control panel menu, yet I still have no yellow...

Anyways, this was suggested a long time ago by another user and it was working on Windows 11, but it seems broken to some extent for tidal to play yellow on windows 11 even with this completely running.

I hope you @punkedrock get this yellow fixed and when you play the Blue and Yellow song, you'll be satisfied

I think it's like this. Basically your only going to want to check the first box, and not the child boxes as per the guide.
Also, have MQA decoding switched off.
Though yeah some FLAC goes yellow and some doesn't. All of MQA does.
