Sorry to hear. Have you tried again resetting?@FiiO sometime last week i turned on my beloved Q5s to use over bluetooth on LDAC when the sound started stuttering (like its sometimes does). Since the stuttering did not stop I reset the Q5s and after that it functioned normally and I enjoyed some late night music. Unfortunately the next day when I turned on the unit it would not connect over bluetooth to my phone (or any other device) and i noticed the front blue light did not turn on. I connected over usb to my phone and the Q5s functioned normally - but the front light again did not turn on to indicate the sample rate. I reset the unit again but to no avail. So it would seem that my Q5s has lost bluetooth functionality and also the front light no longer turns on. I have also reflashed the latest firmware but this has not resolved the issue. Sadly since I use my Q5s almost exclusively over bluetooth this unit has become almost useless to me. @FiiO being a Fiio afficionado i would appreciate your help. I have a lot of Fiio gears since the beginning of the company (Fiio E1, E5...., X5iii, BTR3K, BTR5, etc and many others). The latest Fiio product I bought is the BTR7 but I much prefer the sound signature of the Q5s. I was really hoping the above issue can be resolved and my Q5s be fully functional again.

Sorry to hear about that. When and where did you buy the product? Can your seller help? If not, please contact support@fiio.com for help. Thanks in advance!

@FiiO got my Q5s from the official reseller in my country 3 years back. I have already emailed Fiio Support and they have asked me to check my bluetooth version by connecting the Q5s over usb to a computer - will do same when I get back home today.Dear friend,

I was hoping there would be some kind of easy hack to get the bluetooth functioning again - such as disconnecting the battery, pressing of some buttons combination, etc . Or maybe the fault is just coming from a loosened ribbon connector - or something like that - which would be simple to fix.
Hope when Fiio Support get back to me it would be a solution not requiring to send the unit over to Fiio in China.
Would also be great if any Q5s owners here could chime in.
@FiiO anyway thanks for replying to my post.

Thanks for the kind feedback. According to our experience, this issue happens if the Bluetooth software has error or the Bluetooth module is damaged.
For Bluetooth software issue, burning the Bluetooth firmware again could help.
But for Bluetooth module issue, the Bluetoo module may need to be replaced.
Best regards

Bluetooth firmware for Q5s: http://fiio-firmware.oss-us-west-1.aliyuncs.com/Q5s/Q5s_dfu_FW1.1.zip
Power on the Q5s and hold the pair button for about 2s to enter Bluetooth mode. Hold the pair+next track button at the same time until the Blue indicator turns off. Then connect the Q5s to the computer.
Run the FiiOBluetoothDfu in the firmware package and start the update.
If the Bluetooth firmware update fails to help still, you could consider whether sending the Q5s back to us for repair. (If yes, please contact support@fiio.com and we will provide our address to you.)
Best regards

Big thanks for your support.
Just as a reminder in my original post i mentioned that my Q5s has lost all bluetooth functionality and also the front indicator light no longer turns on (even in usb dac mode - to indicate bit rate). When I turn on the unit the bluetooth indicator no longer lights on and the Q5s in not visible for pairing even when I press the pairing button.
Given the issues do you beleive I can still flash the Bluetooth Firmware you've posted above?
Best regards

I am afraid that burning the firmware may not help. It is more likely to be a hardware issue with the Bluetooth module.

i just noticed this today when connecting my Q5s-TC to my computer using it as A DAC/AMP,
only 16-bit and 32-bit audio can be selected.
no 24-bit audio. is this normal? how do i fix this to show 24-bit selectable?

Yes, it is normal. Only two bit options could be selected in the USB DAC panel so 24bit is hidden.

the Fiio control app on my iPhone 11 connects to my Q5s-TC then instantly disconnects....any ideas?
Dear friend, the Fiio control app on my iPhone 11 connects to my Q5s-TC then instantly disconnects....any ideas?
If the app quit working, it is suggested to clear the pairing record of the Bluetooth device in your phone. Then reconnect it to your phone and try again.
For the iOS version: the first time to enter “Bluetooth device control”, short press the input button of the Q5s to finish connection, and then click “Cancel” and return to “Bluetooth device control” menu. It will be connected successfully. At this time, click Bluetooth device to execute relating operations.
For the iOS version: if the Bluetooth device did not show up in the “Bluetooth device control” list, click the “Refresh” icon in the upper right corner, or quit the app for a while and then reenter it.
Best regards

I am in South Africa and am looking for an equivalent cable to the FiiO LT-LT3 to connect the Q5s-TC to my iPhone's lightning connector.
I have the supplied FiiO cable but really need a longer one...
The USB-C - Lightning cables I have tried do not work, obviously some pins are not connected on them for the data transfer.
Any DIY ideas besides importing the LT-LT3?

You may check whether our LT-LT4(50cm) could meet your need: https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256803275182590.html
