Hello,
Inside the zip file “Q15 XMOS V1.66 Firmware.zip” is a word file.
Did you follow this instructions? It’s very important.
The archive with the firmware contains step-by-step instructions. I did everything according to it, and everything works.
Apparently there are some steps that I didn't follow correctly, I'll try it again tonight, thanks for reporting it :)

I have been using q15 in desktop mode connected to a laptop today, and another issue appeared - the battery started draining for some reason.
I haven't had this issue before.

At high volume, the USB power supply is not enough, and the Q15 starts using the battery as well.
It's just not clear if it sums up the power supply, or completely switches to the battery.
Use additional power through the second USB input.

It's medium gain, the volume is around 80, laptop - MacBook Pro(2021) should give enough power via usb-c

I noticed the current gain on the display didn't match the gain in the settings, didn't compare the volume though.
Dear friend,

Thanks for the feedback. Does the problem remain after the factory restore you done?

Best regards

I've had this problem,

My q15 each time you click "next", or select a new track, in each case while another track is playing, there is a pause (which is normal) followed my a clicking/popping sound before it plays the selected track.

Clicking/Popping sound when switching between songs with different bit and sample rate.

I'm using Qobuz (thru the UAPP Android app), but this also happens with Tidal.

Does anyone else have the same issue?
Dear friend,

Here is the answer from the product manager, for your reference:
Yes, the problem exists, but the POP sound is relatively small and is acceptableBecause we use 2 crystals, one for 48/96/192/384/768kHz signals, and the other for 44.1/88.2/176.4... The other one is used, when the 44.1K and 48K signals are switched, there is a probability of POP sound, which is present in almost all decoders. Why don't have this sound on your cell phone? Because the cell phone is software to SRC all signals to 48K output, there will not be this problem.

Best regards

Dear friend,

Did you connect the power supply to the power in port of the Q15?
The Q15 will be powered by the power supply when connecting the power supply to the 'power in' port in Desktop mode.

Best regards

I used Deskop mode without power connected. But I didn't notice battery drain when I used it the same way before.

Hi guys, a beginner here,

as a long-time owner of a Qudelix 5k, I ordered the Fiio Q15 a few days ago in the hope of getting even more out of my HD650. Now what can I say? I can't tell only slight differences, if any. No matter how carefully I listen and how quickly I try to switch between the adapters in the A/B test, I can hardly detect any difference. With some songs I imagine that the bass is a little stronger. With others, I find guitars / banjos a little more pleasant, a little less sharp. The voices also seem a little more voluminous to me, with more chest. (I don't know if you can put it like that). But as mentioned, very subtle. I'm using Tidal here and the HD650s are connected to the balanced cable (2.5 + 2.5/4.4 Adapter). For comparison: When I turn the PEQ in the 5k, I can hear the differences, and they are factors higher than both listened "flat".

What would make more of a difference here? The higher power or rather the different DACs? (es9218p vs AK4191EQ)
I hope to answer the question myself as in few days a DC04Pro will arrive. If not different to the Q15, then it's the DAC part I would say..

I didn't like how the HD650 works with the Q15, even on ultra high gain it seems to need more power, Hifiman EDXS plays even worse. 7hz timeless and kinera pandamon played well, as well as Kennerton magister heritage (32 Ohm).
