Do you have a charger connected to the q15 at the same time?Okay, thanks, that's what I thought but my iPad in particular seems to burn a lot of battery when I'm playing with both switches on. I'll have to pay more attention and see what's happening.

Hi first question : yes you have a message that ultra high mode is enabled and if selected in the menu you have UH appearing on Q15's screen.Thx Ichos, I supposed that you plug the 2A USB Charger through the red/charge in usb port at the back of the unit while also engaging the phone/desktop switch at back right? Also is there an indication that desktop mode has been engage at all? and lastly, has anyone try to feed this unit with a linear power supply and if so, is it advisable and are their any sonic benefits for doing so?
Second question : little more wider stage and for earphones / headphones very sensitive a real dark background even in ultra high mode. I use myself the Fiio PL50 (15.1V mode with an adaptater to USB C with PDC3.0 chip) at office and a 9v linear power supply from aliexpress at home.

Not sure a 2A is enough and for sure it should be PD 3.0 compliant. For linear I would recommend 25W/9V on aliexpress brzhifi (with Telema transformer for mine)Thx Ichos, I supposed that you plug the 2A USB Charger through the red/charge in usb port at the back of the unit while also engaging the phone/desktop switch at back right
Ultra high gain is only available for desktop mode.Thank you once again Ichos, yes I choose to enable the ultra high gain manually, tho I only have seen super high gain on the gain settings.
While you're here, could you provide an overview of how the various physical switches work in combination? As I remember, the user guide is a little confusing.
My one issue with the Q15 is that it seems to run down the source's battery (iPhone or iPad, in my case) even when switched to desktop mode. Is that impacted by what the phone mode switch is put in? As in, does turning off phone mode when in desktop mode use the source's battery while switching to phone mode does not?

Hi, do you mean that the battery of your source is losing faster when connecting to Q15?
Best regards

Dear friend,Yes, I think it was the firmware, I hadn't had install the DAC driver tho, thank you my friend.
Now after I install the DAC driver would I be able to install the firmware update for the Q15?
Yes, you could install the firmware update after installing the USB DAC driver.

Hi, I would like to know if the Q15 is equipped with line out on the balanced 4.4mm port and if so how to enable the function. Thank you.

Okay, thanks, I was wondering about that setting. So LO = line out, I'm assuming. What does PO stand for?In the menu "Bal output - > PO/LO"
There seems to be some kind of delay when skipping songs or playing back when the song is stopped. It becomes very annoying especially at the start of songs. It does not happen all the time but happens frequently.

Yeah, I bought up the same thing a few pages back in Post #651 of 700, the guy from FIIO said This is designed in order to avoid the big pop sound during playback starts. We will report to the engineer for assessing whether we could improve about that. There seems to be some kind of delay when skipping songs or playing back when the song is stopped. Not sure why, none of the other dac's that I've owned over the years have ever done it. FIIO's own BTR7 doesn't do it.
I remember reading about your comment but could not find it when i was looking for answer. It would be great if they can add an option for that if it is that a feature. I could not understand what is the mechanism behind this because sometimes it does not sometimes it does.Yeah, I bought up the same thing a few pages back in Post #651 of 700, the guy from FIIO said This is designed in order to avoid the big pop sound during playback starts. Power output = headphone output.
I was trying to download the 1.84 firmware update for the Q15, but when I click on the link nothing happens and it doesn't download anything. Does this happen to you too?

Doh! "PO" = "power outlet." I should have been able to figure that out myself. I blame too much going on.Power output = headphone output.
