Usb, line out fix. A little less bass compared to the Sony WM1Z.
Bluetooth LDAC 96k, line out fix. You can immediately feel a smaller amount in the lower area via bluetooth. Saksa 85 amplifier, Quadral Montan Mk3 speaker.

For me the Q15 is a device which checks all boxes.
-PEQ
-Bluetooth
-4.4mm balanced connection
-Volume wheel
- Great Hardware and quality materials

I waited for a device like this for a long time and its the first device I ordered in an instance as it was available in my country.

I got my Q15 on Wednesday and even without burn in I already had some very sweet moments with my Audioquest Nighthawk and Denon AH-D 7200 both with 4.4 balanced cable.
With the Nighthawk it was even exceptional.

But PEQ was here the GAME CHANGER in both cases.

I was never a fan of the dark signiture of the Nighthawk. I even haded the upper Bass and lower mids pump.
But I liked how it rendered acoustic instruments and the deep bass capabilities.

With the Q15 i lowered the frequencies from 125hz to 500hz and it was a revalation.



The sounds is detailed and has a beautiful holographic Soundstage with acoustic instruments.
Someone wrote it reminds him on the Cayin RU6 and i can confirm this. It has a wonderful analog flavor but the Q15 takes it to a better level. Its a pleasure with the Nighthawk and the EQ/PEQ settings.
And everything with Bluetooth from an iPhone!

With the Denon AH-D 7200 I lifted the high frequencies and i was already very good.



Where Fiio definitely has to work on is the Controll App.
After i make the EQ settings and leave the EQ ( I go back to Main Menue) and return to the EQ settings all slider are back to zero!!
I seems like the PEQ settings are still there but the EQ settings are gone.

@FiiO: Please fix this and improve the PEQ further. The EQ/PEQ has already very good results sound wise!!

PEQ is the game changer here.

With the Q15, I'm experiencing repeated errors when trying to connect to my smartphone through Bluetooth. The Q15 display shows connected message, but the phone shows errors and does not recognise any headphone output. I have tried a factory reset, and have confirmed that I have the latest 1.66 firmware. Is this a known issue, and is there any fix available?

after updating the Q15 to Firmware v1.66 it’s still the same.
After adjusting the frequency slider in EQ inside the Fiio Control App (all in Bluetooth mode) and going out of the EQ, back to the main menu the sliders are back to zero.
The EQ settings are not saved. PEQ is still there.

I am in the verge of taking selecting a portable DAC/Amp between Fiio Q15 and shanling h5 for my Shure SE846 is FIIO q15 a overkill for Shure 846 9 ohms Impedance ? thankyou

It seems to be an IPhone problem.
I tried with the Samsung tablet of my wife and the EQ setting were there an are saved. It’s working there.
With the IPhone 11pro max of my wife it didn’t work either.

I'm connecting easily with my iPhone 12( iOS 12.0), I wonder if it has something to do with the system version?

Note that you need to tap Allow Pairing Connection during the connection process.
