FiiO M6-FiiO releases the new firmware 1.0.2 for M6

I bought the M6 along with my friend after getting to hear about the M6 from one of our common friends at our workplace. The device is good but can be better if some changes/additions can be made.

1. Please add some VPN service to the player since most of the users in India and other developing countries cannot use most of the whitelisted apps because these services are not yet available here.

2. If you cannot or do not want to add a VPN service, then please whitelist the following apps and I'm sure that the M6 will start selling in India like hot cakes: Saavn, Gaana, Wynk, and JioMusic.

3. Please add Youtube.

You just spoke my mind. Recently bought M9. What a great little thing!! These Indian apps you mentioned need to be added to the list of whitelisted apps. Plus VPN support would be just next awesome thing.

Can someone tell me how to do a firmware rollback on the M6? I updated to 1.0.2 and ever since then, this thing will NOT connect to my car's head unit while every other device seems to.
Which firmware version did you have before update to 1.0.2? If 1.0.1, you can download it from here, then
a) Copy the firmware package file to the micro SD card;
b) Open "Technical Support" app on the M6, click "Firmware Update", and select the firmware package file to upgrade.

I upgraded from 1.0.1. I tried copying the files onto my SD card and I can see them, but I can't seem to find out how to upgrade it. The auto upgrade does not see the files. The manual upgrade only lets me view the folders. I confirmed I copied all of the contents onto the SD card.

You are welcome. After downgrade i recommend you to do factory reset.

Downgrade keeps failing. Oh well, going back to my iPod Touch until a new firmware update fixes it. I know that the problem is not my car's head unit because both my iPod Touch and iPhone can connect to it just fine. The M6 fails to find it.

Dear friend,

Downgrading to previous firmware is not supported in M6. How do you connect the M6 to your car's head unit?

Best regards

Dear friend,

Have you turned off the Bluetooth amp mode in the M6?

Best regards

Hello, I have confirmed that "Bluetooth amp mode" is turned off. It is like it fails to find my vehicle's Bluetooth connection. I suspect the M6 because both my iPhone and iPod Touch find my car's Bluetooth connection when the M6 is failing. I have also tried removing and readding the device on my vehicle's list of devices but this still fails to connect the M6. It only seemed to start after upgrading the firmware to 1.0.2.

Dear friend,

Can the M6 connect to other bluetooth devices still? Try a factory restore?

Best regards
