FiiO M6-FiiO releases the new firmware 1.0.2 for M6

Hello @FiiO

I know that the FiiO m6 runs on a deeply customized system, and it uses the Samsung Exynos Chip, and that the chip is very "weak". I want to know what the script for APK blocking (only allows whitelisted APKs) [which would be found in the update zip] is. And when I do I can delete it, and from then on I am responsible for anythings that happens to my FiiO m6. and if there are no scripts/ its hard to find etc... I want to know a patch code for this. And also I would like to permanently disable wifi for that firmware. I would really appreciate it if its possible.

Hi FiiO,
Are there any published specs on the M9's AirPlay implementation?
  1. Does the M9 passthrough 100% transparent AAC over WiFi? Any bandwidth limitations, etc?
  2. Will the M9 support AirPlay 2 in a future update?
If not, I'll need to make other arrangements for my iOS/tvOS devices due to lack of Bluetooth AAC.

(Updated to v1.0.4 firmware. Tidal MQA is working great in USB DAC mode. Thanks for the tip above on using ES File Explorer to register on a captive WiFi portal. )

Dear friend,

The Airplay function in M9 supports up to 44khz/16bit as well. We do not have plan for Airplay2 currently.

Mediamonkey is very nice! What version did you try? In M6 or M9? 1.13 seems to work fine but anything beyond that version is google-services dependent, it seems.

Hey Guys,

Here's some updates potentially FiiO will implement:

- when scrolling down, browsing through
albums songs etc. it is not so smooth
(in the es file explore app it handles the
“scroll down gesture” a lot more fluidly)

- a very intuitive filter that will
filter all the (main) metadata [for e.g: browse all songs from
year 2007+ or only year 2017 or up to year 2000..] and
tags that users can create which you may filter through . - this
im telling you
is going to really make it enhouble expeirence for users with mass content

- custom dedicated shortcut buttons to a user-arranged selections of
albums (this will work good for e.g with stories for kids; name
the button 'stories' and select...)

- a temporary song/album/artist disable (like when there's a whole
bunch of old albums that you arent in the mood of coming accros
by doing a all music shuffle..)

- im not sure if there's this: a description of song

- maybe a portable pdf viewer to see credits and description of a
album (most of albums bought online have this)

- many of my music have a video-music to it which would be awsome if
there was a dedicated "music video" button by the track
if sys. detects that there is (bc i have all the vids on my sd)

Id like to make the following feature request(s):
1) Make the whitelist an advanced option that can be turned off or
2) have an optional unsupported version of the firmware with no whitelist. Call it a Dev version

I think there are a lot of tech savvy fiio users out there willing to take risks and test apps and factory reset when things go wrong.

Since upgrading, when I open Tidal none of my downloaded content is available. It says that I haven't downloaded any content. I have already switched my downloaded content storage to the SD card, and restarted my device. It is still not detecting any downloaded content. Is there a fix for this, short of redownloading all of my content? Thanks
