Is anyone currently using the M5 for audiobooks or podcasts?

1) I am curious how adequately the resume (position) feature would work for audiobooks/podcasts?
2) How easy is it to rewind 10-15 seconds in a long track?

Resume mode: The default is off. At this time, after the shutdown and restart in the playback state, the system will enter the main page and will not automatically play the song before shutdown.
Song: Press the power button to turn off the camera during playback. After turning it on again, it will automatically start playing the song played when the previous shutdown, and the song will start playing from the beginning;
Position: Press the power button to turn off the camera during playback. When it is turned on again, it will automatically start playing the song played when the previous shutdown, and the song will continue to play from the progress of the playback.
You could slide the slider in the progress bar(in now playing page) to adjust the playback.

@FiiO Is M5 discontinued? I can't find them any where in NA. If so I need to stock up a few.

This is the best coax solution in the DAP market right now (until you make an M3 pro with coax). I really hope you keep making them.

Just got my Fiio M5. Updated to 1.4.7. Does this include the latest bluetooth firmware? Tapped on NB in About 10 times and it says 1.1.2 which seems to be the latest.

Paired it to my Vifa Rejkavik speaker and it only uses SBC. Maybe Vifa doesn't actually support AptX like they first marketed it. I reached out to them to verify.

Windows 10 + Intel bluetooth plays stereo with AptX to my ES100 just fine but it refuses to connect the M5 headphones/stereo sound device and no sound comes out when connected to the M5 headset device but the microphone works. Restarted the M5 and it started working. Not sure what was going on. Hopefully it keeps working

While the M5 (1.4.7) is charging the lock screen shots an almost depleted battery. Also the lock screen doesn't seem to show the updated battery statistic after being charged. It shows the last status of the battery since the last time you unlocked the device.

The lockscreen updated to 100% battery when charged completed though. So looks like only charging is not represented properly on the lock screen.

Can someone tell me, if when in the track info screen, if you tap on the artist of the album, does it jump to that artist or album in the collection browser?

Also @FiiO, is there any plan to release a revised version of the m5 or a similar form factor product?

Seems to show album art. I mainly listen to albums. If you swipe right it seems to show the track it's playing though under the organization I played it with unsure.

STATUS_DEVICE_DATA_ERROR

Latest firmware
Factory reset
Power off device
Different ports
Different cables
Different computers
Works on MBP 16 2019

Does it work for anyone else? MTP mode works fine.

Thanks. That worked. The download section link on Fiio M5 page is broken.

But I was able to find it on google and I also found the drivers on the FAQ page.

Also there is a note in the online user manual:

(Note: windows7/8/10 32bit or 64bit system need to go to the official website to download and install the driver, the driver
package has detailed installation instructions; OSX system does not need to install the driver, set to DAC mode and connect
to the computer to identify; windows xp system only storage is supported, USB DAC is not supported)

New feedback. When browsing the media library in Now Playing I can use the right side alphabetical bar to quick scroll to a letter. In Browse Files it shows this alphabetical bar but it does not function properly no matter what I do. Does anyone else have the same problem?

Dear friend,
Were you trying to located the folder instead of the music file in the 'browse files' page? The quick search function could only work for the file name of the music instead of the folder. So you could not locate the folder via this function.
