Dear user,

Did you rename the firmware file or not put the firmware to the root directory?

And if you are convenient, you could send some of your music files to us for check.

Best regards

It's a little offensive that you presume that your loyal user who has several of your DAPs and somehow upgraded to 1.4.6 suddenly forgot how to do it with 1.4.7 but...here we go:

Dear user,

Please confirm and try the following steps provided by the engineer:

1. Is the SD card having more than 1G free space?

2. Delete the firmware update package. And download again.

3. After copying the firmware to the SD card, restart the M5 then update the firmware again.

Best regards

Hi, can anyone comfirm that the M5 supports audiobooks in any way? Possibly saved position and chapters?
Dear user,

The M5 could support the following formats:

And it supports resume function. I am not sure whether this could meet your need.
Or you may consider the Android player like M6 and install the audible APP in it for help.

Best regards

Dear friend,

When working as transimitter, the priority of Bluetooth codec is LDAC>APTX>SBC. We will report to the engineer for adding the selction option of Bluetooth codec when working as transmitter.

Best regards

Hi!

FiiO M5 with LDAC transmitter with 990 kbps or normal 660kbps?. LDAC has 3 modes. 330-660-990 kbps.

Other question. With PS4 not compatible. With ps5... yes?

Thanks and Best regards

Does this have audiobook support? The ability to save file location. Thanks.
Dear friend,

No, the M5 does not support saving file location. But it supports resume function instead.

Best regards

I'm looking for a portable music player for workouts/ running that has excellent gapless and bluetooth playback as well as a decent battery life. Good sound quality with a high volume output for those sometimes long workouts is a plus too. I was honestly ready to pick up one of the newer cheaper sansa players when I realized that none of them do gapless playback anymore let alone bluetooth. All my workout tracks are dj mixes (320kbps MP3) where one track merges into the next one and any silence in between is just plain awful.

Will the M5 fulfill my needs? I just need it to play gapless and be compatible with my Jabra Elite Active 75t bluetooth earphone while I workout.

Thanks!

Why is my playlist (.m3u) only show up in "browse file" but not in Playlist menu?
Dear friend,

The playlist page will only show the internal playlist. The m3u playlist is external one, so it will not show in that page.

Best regards

Is anyone currently using the M5 for audiobooks or podcasts?

1) I am curious how adequately the resume (position) feature would work for audiobooks/podcasts?
2) How easy is it to rewind 10-15 seconds in a long track?
