I just noticed another sound problem with the M5 in its BT receiver mode. When I am listening over LDAC music seems to clip. For example "Why so Serious" from the Dark knight score at 3:27 clips with LDAC. Switching to APTX HD fixes the problem. I tested it with Linux and Android as the sender. Both behave comparable

Dear friend,

Did you turn on the Wifi in your mobile phone? How far away is the mobile phone and the M5?

Best regards

I just purchased the M5 and I am trying to determine the BT firmware version. Per instructions, I clicked settings/about M5/ and clicked the NB option 10x . Nothing happens. Anyone else have this problem.
Forgive me, but what exactly is "NB Option"? I am new to non-Apple music players and using SD cards and firmware is all very alien to me.

Dear friend,

From about M5, you could find the NB option. This option do not have special meaning for user atually.

Best regards

Hello, i have been investigating this problem a bit. With the M5 deep tones sound clipped with LDAC. I created a 35Hz test tone with Audacity and play it back over ldac There is some really weird noise going on with LDAC and also unclean with APT-X HD. Now I got back the BTR3 and retested everything with LDAC over Pulseaudio on linux with 96khz samplerate and both with LDAC and APT-X HD the 35Hz tone is very clear.

There is some issue on the M5

Dear friend,

Are there any local store in your city for comparison? If not, you may contact your seller to see if he could help first. If the seller fails to help, please send email to support@fiio.com.

hi there, i just noticed on my unit theres a gap between the 3.5mm port and the body and i can see the backlight of the screen between the gap when the screen is on, is this common?

Dear friend,

Did you drop the M5 before? It seems to be a hardware issue with your M5.
Please contact your seller about that first.
If the seller fails to help, please contact us again with the receipt attached.
Sorry for bringing inconvenience to you.

Best regards
